Yes, I have 2 fiber connections at d same place.

D 1st 1 already using VLAN Tag 500, 2nd unifi uses 600 but firewall doesn't seem to b able to dial (pppoe)

Both use for different/separate traffic (controlled by firewall).

Just need to get d firewall to dial d 2nd unifi properly.

Y it couldn't do it ah? Some settings must b wrong here...

For load balancing you need a script for that

I'm not using it for LB. Coz 2nd unifi has no fixed ip....

unifi data/internet vlan is always working on vlan500...

your vlan 600 is a retag of vlan500 or what ?

vlan600 if not mistaken is for iptv... ONLY..

for it to work.. u need to retag the 2nd unifi vlan500 to maybe vlan 501 and attach your pppoe dailer to it..

then from there you fix your firewall/routing/queing to split traffic on vlan 500 and vlan 501

that is the best way to split/assign the traffic...

You need to explain what you want to do? You have two Unifi Fiber in one location?
*
Yes, 2 unifis in 1 place. 1 dyn IP for surfing, 1 static for emailing. No load balance (firewall does tat).

The static is already working. Dynamic account was just installed.

IF try2 still kenot, i'll do 2 rb250gs routers for fault tolerant....

Sorry, vlan 600 is not a retag. Vlan '600' was setup SIMPLY to differentiate from 500.

Can firewall dials '501'?

so im guessing your trying to do this

unifi 1 & 2 >> rb250 >> firewall ?

why u need the rb250 ? what firewall are you using.. ?

you can actually plug directly from the fiberhome/vdsl modem to the firewall, create a dailer on vlan500 on the firewall itself , im guessing your firewall is doing the dailing...

Yes, correct.

I need rb250gs coz my FW couldn't dial directly.

It's a sonicwall tz200. It supports vlan tagging but still failed to dial directly.

My setup always concentrate on FW; thus making other equipments running in bridge mode.

sonicwall is not a cheap device.. surprise that it can't dail pppoe vlan correctly..

did u try to debug/capture trace when it tries to dail to see whats the fault ? for a device x10 more expensive than mktik..

i think u should at least try to troubleshoot it frist or get their customer service/support services...

ur sonicwall has an opt port right ?

if yes then the easiest way to configure rb250 is to zone it into two sections(segment it using the forwarding tab)

but with both still using vlan500 and you pipe the second unifi to your opt port and throw the dailer there..

yes...all ports r configurable by software switches. I wonder if d vendor has tried tat. They exhausted all methods...

But, it is possible to do it tat way...have to fiddle FW to try...

i was mentioning the opt cause, im not sure your has wan2 port ..the opt port is configurable to be a second wan connection smile.gif if u have wan2 then u can use wan2..

you just need to segment the rb250 into 2 and strip the vlan before connecting it to your sonic wan1 and wan2/opt

i hav 4 wan ports (all ports r configurable). I can set any lan/wan combinations.

I tot i must add vlan tags instead of striping it???

later i take a snapshot of my existing rb250gs pics to show u...

depends how your rb250 is.. the ingress port to tm needs the tag, if your stripping the egress to your sonic, then your sonic can dail without the vlan

unifi (vlan500) > rb250 (strip vlan500) > sonic wan1 (pppoe dail without vlan)

so the traffic will be pppoe > rb250 (tag) > unifi lan 500 > internet

of if you wan.. you can tag your wan port on your sonic for vlan500 and put the pppoe dailer there so when u dail and when it goes out the port it will have vlan500 and u can connect straight to the unifi(bridge)/fiber/vdsl

hey guys,

would u guys take a look at my rb250gs config to c wat's wrong?

Vlan:

Vlans:

Problem is, tz200 couldn't dial pppoe properly for WAN2. RB250gs constantly switching from Port 1, 3 to Port 2,4. Can tell from d way LEDs blinking.

Port 1 (from tm 1st unifi) couples with Port 3 (outgoing to FW as WAN1) works perfectly. After adding Port 2 (from tm 2nd unifi) couples with Port 4 (outgoing to FW as WAN2); it didn't work properly.

Any idea? Any other important settings i over looked?

ur config wrong already la

u can't do it like that...

use vlan 500 for all.. but in the "forwarding" section.. you split the forwarding/cross connection table to split the switch into 2...

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1733801 , see post #4 & #5

the 501 vlan i was mentioning is to trunk 2 data line smile.gif
