reasons :
- everybody uses same washing machine.
- everybody uses toilet (lights).
- everybody share streamyx (router).
- everybody has their gadgets/handphones/PC/laptop.
- all 3 airconds have same HP (1HP?).
- everybody goes to office daytime, only at home at night.
- weekends everybody not at home (staying out of housemate hell).
- no additional usage of individual tv/oven/microwave/vacuum cleaner.

that happened to my previous house, divide by 5. ended up every month we (both my bf and i) need to pay more than half of the total amount...every month bill Rm250-Rm350. their reason even more lame, they will go back to hometown during weekends (sometimes) then what they suggest is to calculate by days, how many days they not in, we have to pay for it....ended up every month i need to pay more than 100 bucks..no, a lump sum of 500 the least. what is unfair to us, the bf is not working, 24/7 at home, having 2 dogs inside the room which i assume his chiwawas need aircond to stay chill? truly tired and sick of it. thought can get a peaceful stay in the current house but still same old shit happened.

new (and improved) proposal : rent a whole house/apartment.

I think the situation has not much chance of settling if the landlord does not come out and mediate. He was the one that agreed that the electricity bill will be shared EQUALLY! Sadly, the middle room is calculative, regardless od whether they use or don't use the air cond. Another sad point I noted was they are also not thankful that they are enjoying internet connection now. So far, the most reasonable way is to back track the bills for the whole year or rather as far back as to when the master room has been empty. Tabulate the average and the new tenant pays the balance. You can actually get the figures in a visit to TNB shop.

The new tenants arguments that does not tally to what the landlord says. My opinion is the landlord now is the culprit so the middle room tenant should be complaining and arguing with the landlord. The new tenants has grounds but so does the middle room tenants but if nobody wants to back down, then some one has got to move. If the tenants cannot cooperate, then that's a hell hole where all you are staying and I assure you everyone is going to suffer. would you like to leave the house daily with a grudge?

This is probably the reason why the master room is empty in the first place, the middle room tenants. I sometimes cannot understand the justification in allowing all to go through this for a mere RM30 to RM50 difference a month. In fact I also cannot understand why one wants to rent A ROOM for RM850 when he can rent a whole house for the same amount. Class because of all the facilities? I can assure you that the middle room will not budge as my guess still holds, the last tenant moved out because of this same problems and that's why the landlord is shaking his head and avoiding.

i don't see the logic there...reason:
- single room tenant 24/7 at home, he works outstation but seldom so most of the time at home with aircond on...i have no issue with him even though he uses the most as i'm using the aircond as well.
- my master room is not that really big as you think, merely bigger than middle room. i'm staying at Ken 3 condo, basic unit about 1000sf if not mistaken..some claims that master room bigger in size so consume more usage.
- asking middle room that kiamsiap couple to pay for rm120, they will just jump off from building i guess...their budget, below Rm50 per month.

sorry lor, it's not that i can't afford to pay that little money, i just don't see a reason for me to pay more than what i'm supposed to.

do u know the electricity charges different rate for every 100, how u want me to observe then? even if i get the reading so? end of the day do u know how much have i used? do u expect me to take the reading after i wake up every morning? dun forget they are using the same...

now i facing another prob...is the internet. feel not fair the way they divide it. coz i and my fren paying the most since each of us have our laptops. the rest oni one laptop which running morning to night where two using one device. I am havent consider those using ipad or tablet to use internet. I feel no fair in sense i should be chargeable based on user. since i and fren oni user internet at night with those farkers downloading constantly. been over 5 months...untill now i havin spoke to any of the housemates.....all are very cold and arrogant bastards..

i rented the room for 850 is because of the location. 850 for a house i assume it's a low cost budget house which i have to stay with those illegal residences and putting my own safety in danger?

he is just expecting the bill will be less than 200 every month. that applies only if 2 rooms but now 3 rooms occupied so isn't it reasonable for the increase?

Please do not share your internet with them...Terminate the connection with them. You use it for your self as much as you wanted.
When they asking about the internet connection, do tell them if they want it, they have to earn it (get it by them self) dun get your self in trouble as i see ur housemates does not respect you at all.
