I think the situation has not much chance of settling if the landlord does not come out and mediate. He was the one that agreed that the electricity bill will be shared EQUALLY! Sadly, the middle room is calculative, regardless od whether they use or don't use the air cond. Another sad point I noted was they are also not thankful that they are enjoying internet connection now. So far, the most reasonable way is to back track the bills for the whole year or rather as far back as to when the master room has been empty. Tabulate the average and the new tenant pays the balance. You can actually get the figures in a visit to TNB shop.

The new tenants arguments that does not tally to what the landlord says. My opinion is the landlord now is the culprit so the middle room tenant should be complaining and arguing with the landlord. The new tenants has grounds but so does the middle room tenants but if nobody wants to back down, then some one has got to move. If the tenants cannot cooperate, then that's a hell hole where all you are staying and I assure you everyone is going to suffer. would you like to leave the house daily with a grudge?

This is probably the reason why the master room is empty in the first place, the middle room tenants. I sometimes cannot understand the justification in allowing all to go through this for a mere RM30 to RM50 difference a month. In fact I also cannot understand why one wants to rent A ROOM for RM850 when he can rent a whole house for the same amount. Class because of all the facilities? I can assure you that the middle room will not budge as my guess still holds, the last tenant moved out because of this same problems and that's why the landlord is shaking his head and avoiding.
