discuss with landlord, maybe you pay bit more but not most of the bills else they'll take such advantage and continue to demand for lesser pay (include water bill next)

in the midst of upgrading the internet to unifi but am not going to share with them. i have enough bad experiences with these kind of unreasonable housemates. i spoke to my landlord before taking to room, he told me everything shares equally, but he refused to show up to settle for us regarding to this matter. sigh

with this kinda kimaks, u oni got 2 choice.

1. get off the house, look to rent elsewhere.
2. get the owners to cut off the aircond.

tell the land lord no one is gonna settle the electricity bill. he's gonna show up for sure.

u can revenge on the internet side since it's ur a/c, & i assume u hav control over the network & h/w.

1) device issue:
-set router to only allow certain mac address.
meaning if ur house-mate bought new toys wanna connect to ur wifi, will b block automatically.
-set number of channels based on 1 device per person.
-if router in ur room, set the router strength to minimum.

2) use QoS function to limit their speed.
eg, if ur line is 4Mb, limit them to 512.

3) wen u not really using the internet, reconnect often.
if they ask, say streamyx dc issue.

4) monitor the traffic, see what website they visiting.
just for fun, stalking. information gathered can be use on evil purposes in the future.

i'm already paying a lot for the rental, it's 850 per month, i don't mind paying more for electricity as long as it's equally shared. i use it i'm willing to pay. i just dun understand why they don't get it. keep on saying that they din use much so no way they need to pay that much. common, the room has no individual meter, n u rented an aircond room, u tell me u din use much then i have to listen? i can also tell u that i didnt use much right?

when comes to money issue, everyone will be selfish (not u la but in general). like I've said, probably bring this issue to the landlord then if they continue to complaint (lets see how much next month bill will be first)

my bf already blocked their smartphones from connecting to the wifi.
we talked nicely previously, asking them not to connect so many devices as really slowing down the internet.
then the bf said they only connect the devices but not using it...i was like...wtf?
then he shut it after that but the next day connect all devices again until we really dulan and block it..

they keep chasing me to upgrade it to unifi but seriously i will never share with this kind of kiamsiap ppl.

i dun wanna share internet wit any1 either.
i need all the speed for myself...& i still hunger for more speed!!

technically, connect only but not using, will not drain the speed.

the landlord knows about it, asked me what happened right after we had the fight. i assume they must have been backstabbing us and the single tenant in front of the landlord. i only asked the landlord if what he told me before i take the room counts, he said yes, he is the one who asked me to divide the bill to 3 and i pay my portion. i'm just following what the landlord asked me to do..but the blardy couple calculate in their own way and ask for more money from me...if u were me u song anot?

we see the difference before and after blocking...so i think it works that way? anyway i know nothing about that, just that my bf has been complaining the keep dc-ing from his online game once they connect to the wifi.

i know 2 years contract, but can transfer to another address right? i did the transfer for my streamyx from my previous staying place to the new place so i assume it would be the same for unifi? worse comes to worst terminate it and pay rm200?
