Aiyooo. Jailbreak for 4.3.5 is out BUT it is a tethered jailbreak. If you are looking for 4.3.5 untethered jailbreak, that won't be released.

im new to this jailbreak thing, got some quick question, what is tetthered and untetthered jailbreak? my iphone version is 4.3.5,does this mean i cant break it?

and how to check whether my phone is lock or unlock?

You can refer here. Is your phone from local telco?

Untethered JB = 4.3.3 below

Tethered JB = 4.3.4 and 4.3.5 and 5 i think at the moment. smile.gif

Guys found out this useful tips :

To jailbreak tethered 4.3.5 , you will need to point your firmware to 4.3.4 using redsnow . But actually you can jailbreak using firmware 4.3.5 as well. After pointing to 4.3.5 and everything is done , you will notice that your Cydia Icon is white colour and not working . But dont worry . To make it run again , Open redsnow , point to 4.3.5 again and this time instead of ticking " Install Cydia " , tick " Just boot tethered right now " . After that just let redsnow do the rest . After successful reboot , you should get a fully functional Cydia.

Only pointing for 4.3.4 is working for me. 4.3.5 just kept on showing me "unable to recognize blah blah blah". Not too sure about others. smile.gif

Bro, you upgraded to 4.3.5 when there was signal issue on 4.1. Was it working fine on 4.3.5?

Yeah it was working on 435... but it also worked fine on 41 until it became a little dodgy.
Downgraded to 4.1 cos i wanted an untethered jailbreak...

when downloading, dont play with it. leave it aside or next to your modem until it finishes downloading. make sure that no computer is interrupting the internet.

Your modem maybe not compatible with 4.1 after the baseband upgraded. You should have use custom cook ipsw to maintain baseband when upgrade.

Previously mine 4.1 upgrade to 4.3.1 then downgrade to 4.2.1, lucky the baseband support 4.2.1 (same baseband as yours).

Bro, DFU mode or recovery mode?

if you have save already the 4.3.3 SHSH blob using TU, then you might refer to here on previous discussion on the solution...i'm having this issue previously..

just follow exactly the instruction, you might find the solution..just give a try... cool2.gif

That sounds like you don't have SHSH saved in Cydia, that's why you're getting the 3194 error (verification failed).

Download TinyUmbrella and see if you can get the SHSH from Cydia to be saved locally to your computer. Sometimes Cydia is swamped and connection will fail and you will get the verification error (3194). It's one of the reason I like to save my SHSH locally. No need to depend on Cydia and no need to know if Cydia is up or down.

Follow this guide Instructions on How to Downgrade/Restore/Upgrade to 4.3.3 Using TinyUmbrella and Saved SHSH

Hey guys,

When iOS 5 comes out, I want to update my jailbroken iOS device to iOS 5.
I don't mind losing the jailbreak and all.
So, I just update using iTunes to iOS 5 without hassle even though my device is jailbroken?

Confused coz last time, I restored my jailbroken iOS to non-jailbroken iOS of same version then only update...

First thing first, upgrade your iTunes after IOS 5 is officially available. Then only you proceed to clicking "restore" via iTunes. Before you proceed, please make sure your set is official unlocked set.

that I know... my question is do I have to restore to non-jb b4 updating to ios5? I read at cydia http://cydia.saurik.com/upgrading/ that if I just update my jb ios4 device (when ios 5 and new itunes releases), my device would be restored(non-jb) and updated to ios 5. so? restore first then update or I can update straight away?
