that I know... my question is do I have to restore to non-jb b4 updating to ios5? I read at cydia http://cydia.saurik.com/upgrading/ that if I just update my jb ios4 device (when ios 5 and new itunes releases), my device would be restored(non-jb) and updated to ios 5. so? restore first then update or I can update straight away?
Hey dude, its non related facts from saurik's with your question. Saurik is saying whenever you upgrade to 4.3.4 / 4.3.5 they would not be a perfect jailbreak solution for this. Nevertheless, there is no jailbreak yet for IOS5. Since you don't bother about jailbreaking and etc, just proceed to IOS5 when its available. QUOTE

Answering to this question, it's not needed to restore to stock firmware before updating to IOS 5.
