Pls refer 2pic me posted some time back re location of & wat those contacts look like (not normal like door ones!).

I think you misunderstood what v12kompressor meant. He meant the alarm triggered while engine still running on its own. He did not switch on the alarm. So I doubt it's what you mentioned.

PEARL GARD tint.

I bought a new car and got the voucher to buy from them..

Now, the thing is, i CANNOT find the catalog/specifications of the Pearl Gard brand tint anywhere on the web.

And the idiotic (sorry to say, but it think it is true) person answering the phone at pearl gard even said they cannot email me the specification (eg: infra red filtaration/ heat rejection) for the tint for saga FLX

So, any suggestion guys???

I'm wanting to change the tint as i was told that proton tint is not good and the car dealer will do number etching sandblasting on the windows (not like proton sticker etching) for security purpose...

Any advice??

Another mayb alarm fuse/connections faulty? Saw one case @SC re Persona alarm sounding when ignition on. SC ppl traced to faulty connection/fuse @ fusebox in engine bay. Replaced fuse. No more alarm sounding.

saga's alarm is easily exposed to water
like maybe rain/ he cross flood
mine doens't ring....mine just will "hmmmm" continuous sound
some users might know it...after that it will stop by itself
but not sure will trigger itself or not

if other brand...at least must have a website...like mine is sun-gard..USA tint..cheap
those that doesn't even have a website..best to avoid

true. i was using water hose (quite high pressure) to clean bird drop on the car roof and the car alarm was triggered. i tried to use my remote to off it but can't off it immediately. have to wait about 5 secs.

Most earlier cars hv alarm modules in cabin space ie inside car interior eg driver or passenger area/centre console, etc.

However, Saga alarm unit location on LHS of boot...juz behind boot carpet cover. So, as yu suspect, it's easy to kena water esp if boot is opened when raining!

So best to avoid that scenario eg protect that side fr kena rain, if possible? Use of umbrella?

For more permanent protection, mayb cover unit with plastic sheet or similar waterproof materials?

saga blm no power la.try my fren's car,1st gear very loud and tight. respond also lag. maybe should try myvi.better acceleration. no offence. but saga blm very worth money as family car.
