Aiya, I was about to suggest that laugh.gif
Anyway, I missed out on one yellow (or gold?)-colored laptop -> Asus A43Sj, comes in a wide range of specs/ colors~

particularly these 2:
A43Sj, Pentium B950 + Nvidia GT520M@RM1799, W7HP; FreeDOS@RM1499
A43Sj, i3-2330M + Nvidia GT520M@RM1999[2.44kg], Colors:Red/Blue/Pink/Green/Gold/Black

You can take a look at it here:

After survey Lowyat Plaza yesterday and Digital Mall today, go inside all shop, finally I decide to buy Lenovo Ideapad z470 nod.gif

Reason :

-Price only RM2299 ( all inside almost same with 3k price Sony Viao or Toshiba )
-This laptop got fan inside and can adjust the speed also drool.gif
-Can on and off graphic card
-and of coz Lenovo known for easy format function

Cons :

- No red or white color, only got black, blue and pink sad.gif
- Even the black color inside was silver color, I prefer all black sad.gif

Any comment sifus ? before I go buy tomorrow after work flex.gif

- Price and spec isn't everything bro laugh.gif
- Can adjust speed? There's a manual switch or software operated? If its the latter, then other brands also can laugh.gif
- There's Nvidia Optimus and AMD Bacon in other laptops for that~
- Every brand also offers easy reformatting, just that the names may be slightly different only haha laugh.gif

Personally I don't really like the colors, mainly because the colors extend even into the pane below the keyboard (but then this is based on personal preferences hehe).... and the laptops are very glossy sad.gif

RM2.3k can get the previous version of the Asus A43sv or Asus N43Sl (normal version) which are better in terms of GPU performance, and comes with 2 years international warranty o? hehe~
Of course, there's the Inspirons from Dell too brows.gif

But then if you really like the design of the Z470, just go for it, most importantly is that you get a laptop you like~

The specifications would be enough for normal, daily usage only though... the laptop isn't really meant for gaming

^ If appearance is the most important, then only you can decide haha, cause different ppl have different taste? hmm.gif
Have you checked out Samsung's laptops lineups bro? Or perhaps the TimelineX 4830Tg? Hmm...

Yeah, using the M14x, the fan is super loud, that's for sure haha, and no doubt is the M14x's biggest drawback laugh.gif
As for the heat, it depends very much on your configurations, those with SSDs were reported to have much lower temperatures nod.gif The hottest parts are the right lower palm rest [Optical drive and HDD] and the upper center (Alien head there) [CPU with no dedicated fan]

Err.. Seen the Dell XPS 15 and XPS 15z yet? Those are pretty good as well nod.gif

The G series are powerful gaming machines, but the screen resolution is sub-par though@1366x768... Unless you import the ones with FullHD lo  sad.gif

Yeah, for certain ppl, design is important as well nod.gif
So its not always about specs and price  thumbup.gif

Added on October 16, 2011, 8:04 pm

Hmm, pretty much those with Intel B940/950, AMD E-450 or in some cases, SB i3 nod.gif

The MSI CR430x and Lenovo B470 seems rather worth it for the price they offer nod.gif

Basically i3 >> B940/950 >> E-450 in terms of CPU power laugh.gif
Whether a laptop lasts long or not depends very much on how the user takes care of the laptop; and also a little bit of luck.
If worried about laptop spoiling, its best to go for those that offer free 2nd or 3rd year warranties nod.gif

Hi, I am planning to buy a laptop...
I have seen two model of the laptop.
One is Asus A53sv-sx498V and dell 15R.
How come dell can offer such a nice spec with almost the same price as the asus?
