e-jump: The 85mm f2.8 SAM is NOT a DT lens. It is a full fledged FF lens, so no, there's no issue with framing 'lari' as with using DT lens. All framing 'lari' is my own fault coz sometimes I'm shooting in a hurry.

zstan: #2 is weirdly framed. Portrait and just a bit lower!
JackCL: Nice shot of the X100 with good lighting, though the background is a bit distracting. e-jump: Long time no see! The processing is a bit flat on the faces though, why? Oh there's the Sony 28-75mm F2.8 SAM, also a full-frame lens. kysham: Interesting shot with many layers. azamunekurone: Nice! Interesting angle, I've never gotten that before! fansoption: Nicely processed! It makes the background less obvious. |

Didnt work out for me at klpf as well. i think it has something to do with how i use the flash. Was on F20 with a big diffuser. dont feel like using F58 as i dont want to be too flashy n stood out ![]() |

e-jump: Didn't get to test out the A77. Guess I'll test out the EVF when the A99 is here! Haha! I'm in no hurry.
I guess for anything held in MVEC, I need to go in the morning and shoot while the gals are still fresh. MVEC's a bit hot compared to other venues. I had quite a number of shots that had 'oily' faces when flash is used. Had to push the bounce card halfway down to reduce the effect. Didn't face this situation in KLCC where PC Fair is. |

QUOTE(e-jump @ Oct 10 2011, 01:01 AM) did you tried the a77 the a77's evf is a huge improvement over the a55's unit, but I think it is still behind the OVF of the A900 / A850 which are among the best out there for full frame cameras. it is bright and big, but just not as real as an OVF. and I would be a fool to expect it to be. An EVF is still an EVF, is still an EVF. But for normal shooting, I think it works brilliantly. I had shot for about 1-1/2 hours with the A77 in a studio environment and it worked beautifully. I adapted to it pretty quick. I don't think there should be any issues. what do you think of the evf since you are currently onlarge pentaprism as well? for me, its so much better than the a55, but i cannot get used to it la.. sooo.. different... |

I don't think there should be any issues. yes.. the EVF brightness is one of the thing.i was told the brightness can be adjusted to our preference.. i think i didnt get used to it because the brigness is so different from the ambent. Maybe if theres an eyecup that can totally isolate my view from the ambient light, it may be different experience. a77 is so much lighter than the ff, probably due to no pentaprism. IQ wise, im not one to commnt on that since i still shoot crappy images out of my ff.. the pewpewpew shutter sound.. LOL i find if funny n cute. I got the liking of a77 for the features it offers, but the main gripe for me is the AF point is not widely spread. Not relly into video nor know much bout it, but the focus transition is so smooth. works nicely w/ my minolta 50 at widest i think F1.7(?). i'll wait n see/test nex-7 |
