Would like to ask those who already have the device, do you see GNote to be able to replace your regular tablet of >7 inch? In terms of browsing webpages and watching video, would you take this instead of a tablet?
*
No. Still not big enough.

Someone asked will this replace my tablet - ipad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 : for me a definately YES. The larger tablets only offer a greater screen estate for better viewing. In terms of performance, I find the Note is better than Galaxy Tab 10.1 and very much better than my ipad 2. As I do not play any games, but I believe the ipad2 offers better and more alternatives in gaming.
I beg to differ. biggrin.gif I too had the iPad2, Tab 10.1 and SG2 and is now using the Note. The Note will not IMHO replace the tablet since the screen is too small for browsing and definitely too small for reading. I use Kindle and Zinio on the iPad regularly and was hoping that the Note will be an acceptable alternative for those times when the iPad is not with me but it can't. Screen is too small!

My regular websites do not show up well on the Note, wordings are too small. For SG2 owners, you have to decide if an extra inch of screen real estate is worth the bulk. It is, for all intents and purpose, exactly the same as the SG2. As for me, I LOVE IT!

An hour for full charge? You mean by using the original charger that come with the box.??
~~@ ozone9 or komputermuzik
can you guys confirm this?
p/s - no offense Uncle Benny, not that i didn't trust you, just want to know if others got the same charging time :-)
*
Trust him. biggrin.gif It charges really quickly, can't verify the 1hr charge time but it charges quick. Noticed that the Note charger is 1.0A and the SG2 is 0.7A so charging time from the SG2 charger will be slower and charging from my ahem 'original' Nokia Micro-USB car charger is slow.

There is a fix at xda, look for stock kernel xxkj4 posting. Basically use odin flash stock kernel in zimage format. Than use cwm manager flash netchip kernel ( extract to zimage). i have posted the link yesterday

soyacincau said roadshow got sale on 11th wor.

Mark your calendars people the Samsung Galaxy Note will go on sale in Malaysia on November 11. In conjunction with the launch Samsung has planned a roadshow in KL, Penang and JB so those outside of KL will get a chance to try the device before they buy it.

Here are the locations of the roadshows:
Kuala Lumpur: Bukit Bintang Entrance, Pavilion
Penang: South Side, Queensbay Mall
Johor Bharu: AEON Tebrau

And that’s about it. That’s all we know for now. Pricing is still a big secret at the moment but expect it to be around the RM2,200 mark. Also don’t forget that an operator will offer subsidy pricing for the Note as well, so a Note for RM1,800 or RM1,500 is not out of the question.

Then there is the rumour that there will also be a fire sale happening. This is not confirmed at the moment but we won’t be surprised if it happens. Excited yes but not surprised.

So if you want to one of the first to get the Galaxy Note in Malaysia, November 11 is your day.
