QUOTE(Adryan @ Apr 27 2012, 05:39 AM)
Two games .. perhaps just three. Can still say a little bit of bad luck of run la unlike Liverpool ... almost every game will hit post, hit bar, but dominate game.

Maybe if Sanchez's shot had gone in, it will turn out a different game or maybe if Pedro had made it 1-1, also a different second leg.

True, Chelsea's top priority was definitely to score from any chance they could, especially against a team like Barcelona but how many times does a goal from a chance actually happen!!

That is true (about why Barca fail to stop Chelsea's 3 attacks) but at the end of the day, we all prefer to defend the club we support and no matter what, there will always be a slight hint of biasness.

Maybe, just maybe, neutral non-Barcelona hating fans, would say Barcelona should have won but those who dislike Barcelona will argue Chelsea definitely deserved it.

But I guess we can't say alot because if Liverpool had done the same, I would have liked it as well but I wouldn't disagree to say Barcelona were better.

But anyways, there's no point talking about the games anymore because Chelsea are in the final, not Barcelona.

so the conclusion is..the better team lost

2 or 3 games the most may be blamed on bad luck. In Liverpool's case every game hit post, never win although dominating the games can be blamed on poor finishing, not sharp strikers, wrong tactical plan etc.

In the semis, Chelsea's top priority was definitely to score from counter attack and they have 3 chances. Barca fail to stop Chelsea's 3 attacks could be the defense went up too far to expel any Chelsea attacks.

I heard g.balague saying on Espnnews that Pep will take a sabbatical and return. If this is true it wouldnt be fair to the incoming coach knowing that he will be gone after a year.

But I highly doubt that this is what Pep wants.

I thought the press conference was at 11am local time so rushed home.
Was so pissed that I went to a buffet at Bukit Bintang so late. Wanted to leave before 4pm to beat the traffic but only arrived there at 3.30pm.

Suddenly the press conference is AFTER the training session, not directly after Pep announces it to the players in the morning.

In that case, I think Pep will stay.
I don't think that he the players would want to train after hearing the bad news because apparently he told them his decision the first thing in the morning.

----------

I hope Barcastuff will share a link to the press conference.
Although I won’t understand what they will be saying but if

1) Pep leaves – people become hysterical and start crying
2) Pep renews – people cheering and clapping

Best thing is for Pep to stay one more year but take AVB or Bielsa (dont think he wants to be a no.2 though) or whoever it is as no.2 to replace Tito so that it will be a smooth succession plan next season.

I had this in mind after thinking about Pep as no.2 for SAF rumors a few years back and also how La Lakers handled Phil Jackson’s health problems in the past.

That's been my point all along, no use talking to these so called fans. No objectivity one, and it seems they're so butthurt even if they won? Wtf is up with that man.

Terry is a thug, always have been. Jingoistic idiot. Thats probably why he's a hero to the Chelsea firm. Thuggish lot, them

I dont think he is a dirty player or anything but I dont understand how he say that it looks bad on tv and how he is not that kind of player.
Geez, it is so clear that he kneed Alexis. Nobody is accusing him of being a serial offender laugh.gif
But he was involved in a similar incident with Alexis in the 1st leg at Stamford Bridge too.
But I think that one was an accident.

If my calculation is correct, Rosell, Zubi and Pep will all appear in a press conference at 7.30 pm Malaysia time. Based on reports in Catalunya he is not going to continue, and many sources also said about the sabbatical thing. Apparently though Rosell has left the contract offer on Pep's desk, in case Pep changed his mind.....

Ohhh..

Nooo...

This gotta be a nightmare....

Yup. I guess that's the beauty of football. Good performances don't warrant wins.

Everyone loves watching good football but the sad truth is, winning is what matters. sad.gif

Yup. That's my point.

Liverpool's run has gone on too long to be considered bad luck. It's a problem.

2-3 games may be bad for Barcelona but even the best of teams have a blip of bad form.

Barcelona kinda failed to defend Chelsea's attacks because they dominated the game so much that even their defenders were in the other half!

i think there is also a psychological block for barca players.
If i am not mistaken chelsea is barca's bogey team in europe.Even in 2009 barca got through on away goal rule.

its catalan. and its official pep is leaving the club..

sad...

Guardiola: it's a situation that is not easy for me

Guardiola "I regret the uncertainty of my decision.I always wanted very short contracts.I apologize."

Guardiola: "In October I've informed the club that the end of my time at the club was near."

Guardiola : " I am very tired."

Guardiola: "I leave with the feeling of accomplishment, proud to be here"

Guardiola: "The person who arrives for next year will give things that I am not able to give anymore."

Rosell, " the new coach is Tito Vilanova"

Gracias Pep. for the wonderful 4 years.

Hello?! At what point did Bayern lead Real to even park the bus? The point of parking the bus is to protect A LEAD. Which Bayern never had in this match and got in the first leg literally in the last minute. Even if you dislike Chelsea no need to resort to MORONIC statement like this!
*
i just noticed this post. in case u forgot bayern win 2-1 at home. shocking.gif shocking.gif
they could easily park the bus in the first minute at santiago barnebau.
but they dont, they play attacking football. that what lead to the goal thumbup.gif
and in case u forgot somemore, chelsea dont have a lead in the first 45 minute in the first leg(the goal came 45+)
yet they still play defensively, which part of parking the bus is to protect A LEAD? doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif
