Guardiola: "You can expect the best from Tito. He's more than skilled, the players know him... I think the club made a great choice."
Guardiola: "I was just the voice of the ideas Tito and I developed together." Guardiola: "The players have today trained as beasts. It's a good sign. They'll feel bad for one night. They're in good hands." Guardiola: "Meeting with Chelsea in February? I did not meet with them. That would have been a lack of respect towards the club." ![]() pique and cesc reaction... |

yep, this summer. he's still the manager for the rest of the season.
this is another level of sadness compared to being eliminated in ucl or losing to classico |

WOW!! That came out of nowhere.
I thought Tito was going to quit! But instead he is the one taking over. A happy ending in the end. His right hand man taking over.. QUOTE “Dear Jose Mourinho, I hope you remember when you poked in a man’s eye about a year ago and later in the press conference you said, “I don’t know who Pito Vilanova is”. Well, that man now has the job you were rejected for.”[SIZE=1] This post has been edited by barca96: Apr 27 2012, 09:34 PM |

QUOTE(fwhoam @ Apr 27 2012, 08:11 PM) i just noticed this post. in case u forgot bayern win 2-1 at home. Lead to what goal? You mean the Real penalty that that Ronaldo scored in the 6th minute? Yes, they didn't park the bus for the first 5 minutes. Neither did Chelsea. So what's your point? Bayern lead Real for 5 minutes, then went behind, then finally level at 2-1 into penalties. So, beside the first 5 minutes (which Real were actually on top), what other points in the match that Bayern were LEADING?they could easily park the bus in the first minute at santiago barnebau. but they dont, they play attacking football. that what lead to the goal QUOTE(fwhoam @ Apr 27 2012, 08:11 PM) and in case u forgot somemore, chelsea dont have a lead in the first 45 minute in the first leg(the goal came 45+) Do you actually know what parking the bus means? Or do you just throw it around because it sounds fancy? Parking the bus IS NOT the the same as playing defensive. Chelsea played defensive counter attack because its the only way to score against Barcelona. No team in the world can match the midfield possession of Barca's tiki-taka, not Real, not Bayern and not certainly Chelsea. Chelsea played classic 4-5-1/4-3-3 against Barca but flattened to the max due to the midfield pressure of tiki-taka. Only in the second half of the second leg did Chelsea played something like 6-3-0 (A.K.A Parking The Bus) when they were LEADING on away goal AND a man down AND without 2 first-choice center-back. You're confusing defensive counter-attacking with Parking The Bus.yet they still play defensively, which part of parking the bus is to protect A LEAD? QUOTE(barca96 @ Apr 27 2012, 09:31 PM) WOW!! That came out of nowhere. Yeah I wholeheartedly agree with you.I thought Tito was going to quit! But instead he is the one taking over. A happy ending in the end. His right hand man taking over.. Honestly I was close to crying when I heard the official statements. Hard to explain why. Probably because this team has Pep's name all over it. Once the man leave it's like we are lost. Yeah we have candidates like Bielsa and Blanc who are also good footballing minds in their own rights, but no one is similar to Pep's. One of my concerns is about the continuity of our policy to promote more youth players into the squad. Surprisingly this club made another great decision when very few people could think about it. I really think with Tito in charge, we are still in the 'appropriate' hands. I'm sad with Pep leaving, but I'm excited to continue the journey under Tito. So yeah, its actually a happy ending for everybody |

if barcelona didn't lose to chelsea, pep would not have quit.
how much different that one defeat makes in the end. |

QUOTE(alice123 @ Apr 28 2012, 12:10 AM) if barcelona didn't lose to chelsea, pep would not have quit. He has actually notified the club that he could not go on since October last year. Nothing to do with Chelsea game.how much different that one defeat makes in the end. Because of this, I highly doubt that Pep will take on another managerial job at other club. The talks that he will go to England are just rumors. This post has been edited by matyrze: Apr 28 2012, 12:18 AM |
