Man it's tiring when everyone plays the blame game. Reminds me of politics in the country. When Highland Towers came down, everyone was pointing fingers. No one wanted to own up. Heck it's kinda what happened at Hillsborough.
Me thinks we win or lose as a team. In the army, the whole unit is punished for the mistake of one man. Nothing wrong with pointing out if a player had a bad game but it's highly unlikely that one player affected the result of the game over 90 mins. Carra did give away a penalty but had we put away the chances that came our way, no one would care as much. As much as players are guilty of mistakes on the pitch, I feel that fans can be as guilty by not showing support, including myself. If all Reds thought this way, we'd have been too busy looking for players to lynch at half-time in Istanbul to have sung YNWA.
Anyone knows where can I find older highlights with English commentators? All the videos I got off google were from ru.tube and have some weird ass arab commentators in it. I know dailymotion has a lot but I can't seem to find them.
Nostalgia time. I miss the old time where Torres would score like crazy. I miss Torres
I think coming off a flying finish to last season and that super performance against Bolton, a lot of us (including myself) dared to dream that we could actually win it this season. To see the Manc teams doing so well and us stumbling against lesser teams again, sorta brought us back down to earth...that isn't to say we can't still win it...but it'll take something special...like maybe Andy Carroll waking up from his slumber or Gerrard coming back in.
I just think that a little perspective is needed. It's natural to one to do one over our rivals but it is at the same time important to note that they've been at the pinnacle for 2 decades now and Fergie has been there even longer. We're years behind them from a commercial aspect as well. Man City on the other hand have gone down the galatico route by splurging. We are adopting a very prudent approach and will only reap the benefits in a few years time. We can hope to challenge but it's unfair to criticise Fenway Group, King Kenny or anyone should we not. I'd rather a slow, concrete progression over instant success any time of the day as I feel the former is more permanent. We're now working on the foundations - improved sponsorship deals, healthier revenue stream, proper grooming of youth players, elevated commercial value, etc. Challenging for the title this season will be a bonus, nothing more.
Mr comolli said eden hazard is not part of the joe cole deal.hopefully it's not true as i can see us getting him in january if we are in top 4 by then and lille are out of CL.

The article above sums up the fact that King Kenny wasn't just ranting. He voiced his dissatisfaction over refereeing decisions as all managers have but he didn't criticise anyone in particular which is the reason the FA did not take action - fact. If one were ranting or whining, it would have stopped there. Instead, he had a discussion with the powers that be at Anfield before proceeding to have a meeting with referees chief, Mike Riley on a few concerns. Clear distinction between someone who complains, rants and walk away, and another who acts on his complaints through the proper channels.
This brings me back to a point I made much earlier. I think referees or at least the referees chief needs to be more vocal in the press.
