QUOTE(tishaban @ Sep 20 2012, 12:56 PM) I submitted late 2011 and got approval in ~7 months. Most are slower than this. Some are faster. It's a lot harder to get PR nowadays though. yours was pretty fast, mine took a year to get it Added on October 30, 2012, 2:40 pmQUOTE(tishaban @ Sep 20 2012, 04:13 PM) What's a decision ready visa? Not familiar with it. Not sure what I'm going to do with the PR yet. I have 5 years to decide what to do actually u only have 3 years otherwise you would burnt your PR renewal with a 1 year visa and you have to pay a 2nd time to get 5 years again This post has been edited by DarReNz: Oct 30 2012, 02:40 PM

hi all,
how's the IT industry looking for next year ? planning to look for a job there so the best is to move there then hunt for a job since most of you mentioned that they won't bother if you do not have a local contact number

I believe most of the IT occupation will out from the SOL list next year well i saw that they are hiring some contractors on the net, i guess if we can't get a perm job first will have to go for these first. QUOTE(hihihehe @ Sep 11 2013, 11:28 AM) sick of contractor job. you can't be contractor forever even though the pay is high. most of the company just hire contractor for 3 months and kick you back to unemployment status but i know some companies they want to see your performance that's the reason they put you as a contractor and maybe absorb to be perm for the company

if wanna find a job in oz best is to find a recruiter that owns the firm then confirm you can get interview otherwise all the others recruiters who are just employees just filling their quotas to hit their sales, best if you have networking cos some jobs not advertised on seek website and of cos it's better if you go to the HR of the company itself when applying
