Restaurant Name: Mikan Japanese Cuisine, Jalan Sultan Ismail
Dining Time: Dinner
I have been in search for some really good Japanese Food, quite a bit more authentic of course. The sad thing about the restaurants in Kuala Lumpur is that the quality has been dropping, but prices has been increasing.
Had their normal Ala-Carte dishes, but will post more on their wine pairing food later on.

Chawan Mushi, favorited by everyone! Love the soft and flavorful texture. A must have! Price RM 8

Next up was california temaki, freshly made which made it taste good, but overall flavor was very much the same as other restaurant. Price RM 6

Of course, it is a must to order Sashimi when dining in a Japanese restaurant. Needless to say more, very fresh seafood is expected as the head chef of Mikan imports the fresh goods twice a week. Price RM 48

Sashimi Salad! A healthy approach perhaps?

Price RM 16

Here comes the sushi and rolls! Sushi Moriawase, soft packed rice top with fresh seafood! Melt...

Price RM 38

Spider Maki, basically soft shell crab maki. Crispy and fragrant insides along with their aromatic Japanese rice. Yummy. Price RM 20

Now, this is something rather special, Foie Gras maki, a chef's special. Soft tender duck liver (sadly not goose) melting in my mouth was really needed! Price RM 48

Here comes the main dishes. Chicken Teriyaki, said to be also a chef's signature. The concept of this dish is very different from the other restaurant, tender meat coated by its crispy skin. Must try guys! Price RM 22

And there was Gindara Teriyaki (cod fish). My favorite, very nice oily fish! Price RM 32

Opted for this instead of Wagyu, as said in the beginning of the post, wagyu will be featured in the wine pairing menu. That being said, their standard beef teppanyaki is good enough for you to crave for more! Make sure its ordered medium rare. Price RM 32
Had to skip desserts, over capacity!
Overall, I enjoyed every single dish and have been returning to this restaurant every now and then. Highly recommended!
