some might say why i cannot use my ceiling light bcoz moss are low light plants and my ceiling light is 24 W worrr..
u need to understand the relationship btw distance of light source and tank, tank depth, light penetration etc etc generally : • Only 73% of the surface light reaches a depth of 1 centimeter (less than a half inch) • Only 44.5% of the surface light reaches a depth of 1 meter (3.3 feet) and now imagine ur ceiling light which is around 2 or 3 meter high .. plus all the light lost when travelling through the water heheee..for more technical + chart + graph -> http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/lighting...-t5-t12-pc.html This post has been edited by ciohbu: Oct 22 2011, 11:39 PM |

But it requires co2 supply. I don'tthink any kind of carpet plants can grow without co2 3.to go for shrimps, you need lower ph and suitable temperature Hope this helps |

many sifu said can use T5 sell in light shop which is much cheaper than LFS.
Yesterday I went to a light ship and asked them, they said the T5 they sell is not suitable for Planted Tank, must get from Aquarium Shop. Is it true? anybody using T5 bought from light ship and think it is good enough? |

applebee:
If you can find a 6500k to 12000k T5 HO at light shop, then it would not be any problem. most T5 sold at light shop is normal grade of T5, which light intensity is not strong enough to penetrate deep water. hence, it is not good for your carpet plants. |

QUOTE(^4ever_Fan+a5y^ @ Oct 23 2011, 04:28 PM) Hi all, Feed moderately. You do not need to clean uneaten food if you feed as much as the fish can consume before sink down and settle on substrate.May i know how u all deal with the unfinished fish food or any waste of the fish that sink on the substate? Just put some anti chloride if you scare, 1 botol RM1 can last you very very long already. Cheapo Anti-chlorine is very dilluted and not able to detoxify heavy metals. It is as good as not using one...Get good quality one that is able to remove chlorine and chloramines. This post has been edited by ProX: Oct 24 2011, 09:52 AM |
