BBA is not caused by high light problem.
Even when you are using 38w x 3 still very low
Main problem of BBA is your filter dirty. Change filter mat, clean the inner of your water hose properly.
Put in 10SAE then they will eat BBA for you.
*
Yup agree BBA cos by dirty filter and sometimes strong current cos it too..
SAE only eat the dead BBA(white color) perhaps you can try to inject seachem excel or phyton git directly to the spot
or trim the infected leaves, let the new leave grow... biggrin.gif

For snails, dwarf puffer might be helpful, 1 might be enough to encounter hundreds....or else tweezer can be used either biggrin.gif

Malaysian Trumpet Snail is burrowing snails, they wont uproot HC / HG ?

HC yup...HG probably not...

Dwarf puffer always work for me to get rid off snails...the snails even dare to come out from soil biggrin.gif
The only thing is puffer dont have much choice to eat after all snails are gone...

wonder if it's the potassium that I put (I feel itchy when the solution kena my hand)...
*
What brand of potassium you are using?
Usually K will not do any harm to fauna...perhaps your other parameter may cause the issue

if white spot disease...it might bcos of temperature a bit low, not enough aeration or over feed
salt and heater also can treat white spot

i am not sure if its the genus of the rotala,

but mine is growing longer, but the leaves are not growing as what i expected it to be. its growing like thin threads instead of 'rounded' leaves

also for glossostigma, they dont seem to be growing, or the growth is really really slow. any advise?
*
rotala wallici & rotala sp najeshen hv that kind of leaves
a picture of ur rotala might b great

glosso is high demand plant
what weijie saying is part of the demand :-)

bought the green one from east aqua outlet near balakong.

the red one was from 88 pets mart. but when i bought it, the leaves for this was not thin as thread.
*
perhaps they still in immerse form when u bought it
both almost similar in immerse but wallichii a bit darker and nicer compared to nanjeshan

me personally luv both in immerse instead of submerse
if u want to get normal rotala, immerse leaves will in round shape, it vice versa to wallichii & nanjeshan
smile.gif

forgot to ask, the 2nd pic is it the same plant with wallichi?
if not, if im not mistaken it rotala sp vietnam

same one. trimmed and replanted.
what do you mean when u say immerse and submerse?
*
submerse = under water like inside your tank
immerse/emersed = above water or with mist or moist environment like u saw it in 88 which they used water mist to keep the humidity

aquatic plants usually stronger in their immerse version, it only need moist environment, co2 from open air, light from indirect sun light. almost all farms using this kind of method to propagate the plant.
LFS also use this method in order to avoid lost.

actually u also can hv ur own farm if u hv shading area around ur house
use any soil including used aqua soil
find container
put soil, then put water above the soil surface
throw trimmed plants from ur tank into the container
cover up it with plastic to keep the humidity for the early stage
if u not lazy spray it every morning, or else just let rain watery the plant
light? morning sunshine
co2? from open air
fert? use old aquarium water

u can try with ur wallichi, it nice when immerse,
or u hv additional tank, u already hv the plant from ur own yard, feel like jimmy oliver smile.gif

Hi All!
I'm a newbie again! Stopped Aquascaping for 3 years now.
Can I ask, where can I find aquarium racks/cabinets for an indoor aquarium? which I can put my filters and CO2 tanks and other equipments inside?

I saw some places selling like RM500 ~ RM1000 for a 3Ft tank :S
Yes, I'm looking at a custom 3ft tank, which is 36"L X 18"W X 20"H (8mm thick)

Please advise!
TQTQ~

Added on October 13, 2011, 12:25 amOh ya, i'm looking for quality and affordable ones. Not aiming for ADA or high end stuff smile.gif
Most important is sturdy and decent then can de. Thought of Metal racks, but wont look nice indoor.
*
Again if u in klang valley, perhaps u can visit NA SS19 smile.gif
They have nice ADA look a like tank which way cheaper than the original one
