I plan to upgrade my 2x1x1 tank to 3x1.5x1.5. Is my existing Eheim 2215 sufficient enough?

currently I only have moss and Subwassertang tie on mesh and rock. I only have some sand as base. Shall I upgrade to soil also?

My Lighting is 55W PLL and CO2 tank with 1bps. If 3ft tank how many watts light I need? 3 ft light is how many watt?

Thanks for the info. Want to ask ciohbu, 1bps too little for 2ft tank? if i add more, will my RCS go to heaven?

I'm using 2215 now. so dun need the sump tank. my Plant grow a bit slow, maybe... But last time I use 30bpm, BBA appear. Then put in flying fox and yamato, and increase CO2 to 60bpm. now controling.

55W is too low for 3feet, Aquazonic has T5HO for 3feet with 36W x 4 = 144W
CO2 bubblerate is depending on how pack is your plants. More plants need more CO2. Get a co2 indicator to check if you are overdose or underdose CO2

Last time should have buy 2217 when got promotion thought 2215 sufficient enough. maybe add on a cheaper canister.

shall i transfer the soil and plants first, let the water cycle (or use back the water from 2x1x1 tank), then only put in fish and shrimp?

many sifu said can use T5 sell in light shop which is much cheaper than LFS.

Yesterday I went to a light ship and asked them, they said the T5 they sell is not suitable for Planted Tank, must get from Aquarium Shop.

what is the name of this plant? I got a few stems FOC from the pet shop in mid valley 2 months ago, now it bushes in my tank. I have to give it a major hair cut every month. anybody want? come collect at Sg Long.

It is so easy to grow, I don't even have any soil in my tank, only some river sand and gravel but they still able to grow crazy. Last time my water sprite also grow too high in my 2ft tank, I forced to throw in away.

my plants in post #877 grow well in sand and 1bps CO2. no soil at all.

Will the ping ping ball size lava rock that I used to tie moss and fissiden will dissolve in few months time? the 88 pandan indah ppl said so. So what happen after a few months? my plants will float and I have to re-tie them again?

Where can I find the lava rock and how much does it cost? 88 only sell big size one.
