just realized after painstaking info hunting in the web and in WiKiPeDiA,
i just realized my third plant is not from the cobomba plant. also realized i got cabomba plant b4 getting this 3rd plant and it died a few days later or slowly rot in time. the plant name is Dwarf Ambulia; Ambulis; Asian Marshweed or Limnophila sessiliflora >.< QUOTE(kimimaro_kun @ Feb 16 2012, 08:20 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Its the Ceratophyllum demersum or hornwort, rigid hornwort, coontail, or coon's tail. In my case, cabomba is hard to jaga in my tank bcos the leaves easy to tercabut, and clogged the filter >.<. Also, they seemed to easily die and rot if the temperature is high like in my case too. but this doesnt happen with asian marshweed which im loving it very much lol (no need cool temp, low lighting also can, stem plant and very very fast grower haha) wonder if Taiko Sisaiko got them, planning to buy afew This post has been edited by LuQEE: Feb 16 2012, 08:50 PM |

hye all, i'm a noob.
this is my tank 45liter 28cm w X 30cm h. basic setup. some pebbles, got 3 betta, 4 otocinclus, 1 SAE, 2 corydora, 3 emperor tetra. this is not a CO2 setup. just some java ferns, anubias nana, some long weed like plant, water hyacinth. --->click me to see my tank last month, my oto laid a lot of eggs sticking at the tank glass. after 2 days, all eggs seems like to grow fungus and my SAE ate all the eggs. --->click me to see oto eggs my question is, in future if my otos starts to lay eggs again, what sould i do? coz after i wake up from sleep, suddenly got eggs all over my tank. oOo miao oOo
I am a newbie in planted tank. Just started my interest recently switching from marine to planted tanks. Sifus, i would like to ask 2 stupid questions:- 1. i plan to get lily pipes. I have conducted some surveys in KL even in jalan pasar, i managed to get BW, CADE, & ADA (correct me if i am wrong). May i know what's the difference except for the price? I am a newbie in here, and wana aim for low-cost but high performance (damn greedy). So which should i get, and where can i get at the lower rate? 2. regarding to the CO2 system, i saw, people selling those co2 booster (liquid), those that like small but manual pump in co2, and the co2 tank with solenoid. Since i am a bit budget, which i should aimed? Different sellers tell me different things. Some told me the booster enough already. By the way, i am staying in KL. and i have a cannister as well. My tank is 2 feet with ADA soil, n w/out fish. Thought of planting already just put in fish. SO, sifu, please advise~! Thanks a lot... Please |

Hi Cute miao welcome to this fascinating hobby....
im no sifu but will try to help to answer ur Q 1. Several types of lilies in market...u got it rite there...BW, CADE & ADA, u might perhaps add Gush in ur list....im using all xcpect ADA since its way to expensive...the flow quality almost the same for BW & Gush since there are from same maker, for CADE the flow a bit tight cos of the thickness of the glass....if u want to feel the experience u r welcome to my shop at Putrajaya.... lilies also depend on on your canister....may we know what brand u r using? 2. co2 set depends on what plant u want to have, if u want to have low demand plant, its enough to have this booster or liquid carbon BW growth or seachem excel for instance.....if for long term n plan to hv more demanding plants go for set with solenoid.... others might add some info into this.... |

1. if the tubing in n out same size u can consider CADE, then GUSH then BW as an option
2. if u r away, u can push in advance....but some booster might harm to shrimp...but not yamato i believe... how big is ur tank? and how strong ur t5? This post has been edited by sisaiko: Feb 20 2012, 10:39 AM |

1. the inflow about 6.5cm diameter, and the outflow is 5cm diameter. I would prefer those with performance rather than the green ugly tube. ^^
I dont keep udang. i scared of their legs..so many legs..yiii.... my tank is 2f and the light is PL-60 |
