the rotala red and parrot feather is growing VERY fast

i suspect the ph 5 is due to driftwood. b4 i pump co2 it was 6

looks like i need a place to dump all this excess plants

btw my other tank got a thin film of green algae. the otto n amano didn;t clean it much. will a snail do it ?

the say nerite snail leaves ugly white eggs all over then tank and very difficult to remove

also they prefer higher ph otw their shell will erode...

Hey guys wanna ask anyone using LED type of lighting system??? How was it compared to T5HO lighting system???

How was the heating effect???

1 thing i can assure u, no heat affect the water temp at all... i'm using 2ft aquazonic... how effective dunno yet cos still new in this hobby... only hv marimo, newly tied riccia and water sprite in my low tech tank...

Still experimenting with UP LED for my 1ft tank, just started last week
only JHG in the tank, 1 thing for sure that less heat compared to typical lighting set
we share the result later smile.gif

1 of my friend using DIY for their 3ft, but the effect still not full as T5HO or MH
For the time being he said he in save mode, he will use the t5ho set when in last 3 month b4 the competion(IAPLC) closed

ordinary T5 rated at 14W, but aquazonic t5 rated at 22W, not sure how they come out with 22W though, maybe only with aquazonic housing only can have 22W output? anyway, just bought 4 tubes of aquazonic t5 for my 2.5 ft tank.
