Updated my tank:

added 3 guppy.
the xmas moss growing.
wild shrimp looks happy. changing skin a few times, getting bigger.

my tank after 2 month.

Actually i'm using JBL soil at bottom.
1.5 litre only, not enough, so i double with sand layer on top.

thank you for all comment and sugestion.
that is my first try-out for planted tank.

now i design my next tank. cube tank for my office. this is the design.
i survey the price is less than RM50 to build this tank.
please comment.

what type of algae is that?
what is the cause?
how to overcome it?

i noticed neon tetra eggs on plant.
the next day the eggs gone.

btw, my tank already complete. ready to scape.
size 16" x 18" x 20". deep cube tank with sump at the back.

1 feet 4inch wide, 1 feet 8 inch high.
6mm glass cost RM85. silicon glue cost RM5. time to built=2hours.

overflow because my current tank always got oily surface. so, to get rid of the ioly thing i choose overflow.

i dont know what is lily pipe used for before. hehhe.



just finish, but not complete yet.
the wood is still floating, so i have to tie to fishing weight.
the moss (i dont know what type) and mini pelia are collected from stream here.

if you want cheap fish go to FS near pelita nasi kandar sungai dua. but limited choice.
i usually go to CTY burma road to cuci mata.

my guppy giving birth again. 18 fry detected. hehehe.

Added on November 11, 2011, 2:20 pmi made a mistake, put this udang into tank.
cabut my hair grass.
this udang is for big fish food.

i just bought cherry shrimp. RM2 each.
then bought tetra fertilizer: Flora Pride.

wejie: using Nikon D300 makro lense. forget lense detail

bought cherry shrimp at CTY aquarium.

Bad news this morning:
after 24 hour using tetra flora pride fert, all my wild shrimp gone to heaven.
only cherry shrimp left.

suspect the fert contain copper.
what fert actually suitable for shrimp tank?

where to buy? cannot fine in LFS here.
