thanks everyone for the reply
how frequent you travel? when should I start to worrid for any major maintenance? Am pretty much concern on the reliability of the car due to frequent travel. Maybe its just my mindset that hybrid engine might be fragile compared with conventional engine.

its sounds good enough for me. would everyone suggest me to have one?

Well I only got my car this 20th July and so far so good. No complains so far.
The hybrid batteries has a warranty of 5 years. smile.gif

It would be better if you open a new topic to post your survey than to post multiple postings in all the topics. It is very irritating to open all topics to see the same message agin and again. rclxub.gif

very sorry for that, i've actually open a new thread and requested for it to be pinned for a few days. But it's been one whole day and i've yet to receive any replies from the moderator. So i am really out of choice. On the other hand, i'm reaching my quota very very soon

again, i apologize for this.

Wow 4 adults + 4 children. The total max gross weight of the car may have been exceeded. Assuming 4 adults at 60 kg each = 240 kg. Add 4 children at 30 kg each = 120 kg. Total weight = 360 kg. Total car weight would be 1240 +360 = 1600kg. This would be very close to the max allowable gross vehicle weight of the car. Maybe even exceeding. No wonder no power to climb.

How did you squeeze so many people in the car? As you know it is not a big car.

hey guys..
wanted to ask on this stop-start system in ur hybrids..
well, i read about the engine stops during traffic lights stop or traffic jam..
when does the engine stop when the vehicle stops?
is it instantly when the car goes to a halt?
or wait few seconds then the engine stops?
in which gear position the engine will stop? N or D?
When u accelerate then the engine fires up?
how fast the engine fires up when u go?

It depends, normally the engine will autostop when you step on the brake and it will shut off the engine when reach 11km/h and below. (you can feel a sudden release like in free gear). In a start stop traffic situation, it will trigger the autostop if it is stationary for a few second

Engine will autostop on D/S/N. not on P/R/L

When you lift your leg of the brake pedal the engine will fires up or if it is autostop for more than 90sec, or if there is a sudden need of more power (such as usage of wiper and etc)

so while travelling below 11km/h the engine will stop too? i thought only when u come to a complete halt?
so when i stop at a traffic light or in traffic jam.. if i put into P/R/L then the engine will keep running?

and if the engine stops more than 90 sec, the engine will fire up? so let's say i park at the roadside waiting for someone.. the engine will start back after 90sec?

to trigger autostop your leg need to be stepping on the brake (When coming to a stop), not while cruising or travelling below 11km/h....

if you put your car into P/R/L, yes the engine wont autostop.

more than 90 sec* your engine will fire up. Assuming you park at roadside on D with your leg on brake pedal, yes your car will autostop and fire up after 90 sec*

*optimum condition - Weather temp/ dry Condition, High Battery Charge Level, and etc.

Does any of your insight having static electric problem on your car body?
After driving my insight for roughly half an hour, when I open my car, I tend to be shocked. Any suggestion on how to solve this problem? I was thinking of grounding installation, but not sure will this solve the problem or just create additional problem. unsure.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif

will the car have any long term issues if the engine keeps firing and shutting down when stuck in jam?
maybe in the long run? some parts need to be replaced?
