Hmm, just got myself a Galaxy S2.

However, I seem to be having a problem with the Wifi connectivity. The wifi is connected, but somehow data connectivity dies after 30 minutes or so. Closing/restarting wifi makes no difference, I have to restart the phone for the wifi to work again.

Anyone know the problem with this?

It should be the wifi problem. Sg2 has the ability to auto cancel the wifi if it is not working. So, I think it could be wifi issue.

Do you install Juice Defender? SOmetime it is the setting that causes it.

been connected to my wifi nearly 13 hrs, still can use no prob. Or do you mean you download stuffs for 30 mins then it dc?

30 minutes can use data no problem, internet/market/email/etc.

After that, even though wifi connectivity is still active, data can't be fetched. Needs a phone power reset to work again.

Trying to see if it's wifi problem. Would be testing a few things such as router reset/etc. If problem persist, I'll try more drastic measures like factory reset and rooting later.

Rooting ? Rooting wouldnt solve anything ..... Since yours is a " virgin " set , do a factory reset and run it as it is without installing any apps . If the prob is still there , take it back for warranty claims

Edit - Did u touch your power saving ? I got a fren who did tat and he experiences something like yours coz he set power saving to 90%

If use Batista 3.7.4 + ninpo 2.1.3 will not have boot animation..other ROM like Lite'ning is Ok..

Now trying out speedmod kernel with lite'ning. Maybe its just me but the phone seems more smoother with this kernel. But there seem to be more bat drain. Will test longer and see.

Anyone got experience to share on this kernel?

based on experience, i've been using lite-ning since 2.0 and litening usually got reboot wan, but now i using cognition never once got reboot.
