What is lagging?

I have no lag in sliding nor in dolphin. And i am using lite'ning and ninphetamine 2.1.3 as well. Could be cause by some other app?

Now trying out speedmod kernel with lite'ning. Maybe its just me but the phone seems more smoother with this kernel. But there seem to be more bat drain. Will test longer and see.

Anyone got experience to share on this kernel?

Use titanium backup to backup and restore.

After getting my S2, the first time i turn on gps with papago my lock was within seconds (less than 15s i think). Make sure data is turn on for aGPS to work. With lite'ning rom, indoor, turning on gmap it showed my location within 10 s

Its not tricky or hard leh. No need to be fast also.
Just extract out the zimage file and put in your internal SD.
Then start chainfire CWM app (no need to enter recovery).
Scroll down to flash kernel and press it.
Select the zimage you extracted.
It will then flash and restart.
Job done.

Now I change kernel using this method. No worry about yellow triangle until i get my usb jig.

Do you have somekind of app installed that closes connection after 30 mins?

What rom you using? Do you have the system power saving thingy enabled?

In that case i would recommend backup your apps and do a factory reset. This is to confirm its not a hardware problem.

Edit: one more thing. you root it using chainfire root?

Factory reset still the same better make appointment go find samsung liao

Edit: Factory reset does not remove root. Reflash with stock rom to remove root. Then test again.

How is MIUI? Read that still lots of fixing need to be done. Anyone tried CM7 nightly yet?

Now trying SensatioN by Crysis with speedmod T26 (it comes with the rom). Using full wipe version.

Anyone having problem batch restoring with titanium backup pro? It is not working and have to restore 1 app at the time. Lucky i do not have much app. Must make complain to software developer.

If outdoor with agps i think its correct. Its about the same fix time for me. Also similar to my previous HD2.

My device is made by samsung also. I think all SME also made by samsung but I have no defect whatsoever in my screen. Could be related to just certain batches during production. Better go complain at samsung and get replacement screen.

Actually brick means u fail exam. Should be demoted. All my previous device WM until now Android i have never brick any before. If you follow exact instructions and read alot before doing anything you should be safe.

Have to agree with Benny. SGS2 is one of the easiest to root/flash. Very little risk of brick. If you use recovery to flash rom i think you cannot make any mistake at all except using a wrong/corrupted zip file.

Flash a kernel like Chainfire through Odin to get back CWM and root at the same time. When you flash back original rom you will lose root and CWM.
