if you can upgrade the fw to the european one, you can easily download the upcoming malaysia fw and flash it to your phone once it's available on samfirmware. why need to unroot?


yeah flashed to kph, but i think i screwed up the ext4 conversion somehow, even after following the steps in xda. most of the apps work fine, but the camera didn't work, so i ended up flashing kph again and only applied the cwm root. now still using the rfs file sys

Hi all,

My gf SL suddenly turn off itself when it was in sleepmode.

Need to take off the battery and put it back on so that it can turn on again.

Anyone have this problem? any solution?

guys.. wanna ask.. my phone took too long to connect to kies. what may go wrong?

mine happen frequently when i just got it, about 2-3 times per week, sometime per day. after 2-3 month usage it didnt happen anymore.

however it can be turned on by pressing the on off button, only sometime need to remove the battery.

i read somewhere use setcpu and set processor to higher clock speed when idle, however the problem still there when i set mine higher last time.

i think is software but weird it only happen to some SL, earlier Ace have this problem.

recently my wifi freeze/disconnected few seconds then connected again, and then disconnected in few seconds or minutes again. but phone doesnt know it disconnected though.

Anybody here root your phone? wanna ask how long does the process take?

i tried to root with super one click but it hanged. the program is not responding. helppp~

Are you using this guide? Remember to unmount your SD card. I rooted again just now, it kept hanging at 'waiting for device'. Finally made it after I reinstalled drivers from Kies.

how u reinstall drivers? is it..in kies, u choose "tools" > "install driver"?
then after u launch super one click. u choose "gingerbreak"?

hye there~ does anyone have tried using MicroSD SDHC class 10 on their SL? Is it Ok or does not compatible ?

Or just better use Class 4 only?

Yes correct. Then after launch SOC, click on 'root' button (can't see gingerbreak). Mine is SOC v2.1.1.

actually if your phone hang or like turn off ie black screen...no need to remove battery...

the function is somewhat similar to IPHONE....press the off button (on your right side) for a few seconds....then it will auto reboot....

Its actually better..class 10 got faster transfer speed

With my SL its a lot rarer. Somehow I believe most recent Samsung phones will have this. To certain extent i believe this is a android problem. According to my own theory its due my router. If you want to try, reset your router as often as possible.

Why cant I suft the internet using this phone..I got error "403 Forbidden" for all the website I'm trying to connect.I'm using maxis broadband simcard..Pls help..

never tried putting sim card for modems into phone... is there any entry in your APN setting?

Can't be Android problem lah... my old SE X10 and HTC Legend never shut down by itself. Must be a Samsung problem.
