bring our phone to smg service center for upgrade purpose is FOC?

For original sme sets, upgrading firmware is foc. I also downgraded b4 foc.

just firmware?
or providing upgrade OS service? i mean from 2.2 to 2.3

how much izit for 2 month old galaxy sl sme set fullset inlude 8gb memory card?

btw, the xxkb3 (2.2.1) works great with my SL, no gps issue and others..

I think it's a good price. I got mine last month for RM850, a 3-month old Sen Heng 1+2 years warranty fullset, need to replace the back cover and buy my own memory card.

Sen Heng units are original SME units with 2 extra years warranty by Sen Heng itself, if I'm not wrong. My previous warranty claim for Ace at Plaza Berjaya requires nothing other than the phone (they check the IMEI), but please bring the receipt in case the IMEI is not registered.

guys any1 edy go to samsung care centre to up grade?? heard some user comment in their fb page say d process is very quick (say 10 or 15 min finish update.... but wonder how is de queue)

kinda worry coz got lots of game and save files from my ps/snes/gba will all habis if can't find a way to back up it T.T

Will upgrade at Samsung Service Center since the customer service person even discouraged me from using Kies.

What? Why discouraged? But waiting for Kies will probably end up waiting until 2012.

Samsung knows themselves that Kies is unstable and they did mention Samsung stuff and Windows are not so compatible in terms of application

its true that Kies is not the best tool to update.

My last try on Galaxy Ace was unsuccessful and very scary cos it hung.

Brought it to the service center, they also told me not to use kies.

juz went to Samsung service center....my speaker...spoil.....

and did checked with them on gingerbeard for SL...

They said for SL update not out yet...

aiyah!!! then how come in the forum it said out already????

btw, which speaker spoil? the front or back one and how did it got spoil?

Swt, could it be those samsung fellow not aware of the recent update? Cuz its samsung facebook ppl information that why we're convince about the update

really.... since i m sending in phone for repair...thought of juz ask them upgrade my firmware too...

i juz went there yesterday ...the service centre in berjaya....

taruh them for me.....if they do got update....

it was the lady...look like chinese but not chinese....tat told me no update...

for all you know the Facebook notice may be erroneous....lets wait a while more...even Ace which was released earlier than SL just got their GB update.
