QUOTE(Dannyl @ Sep 6 2011, 04:57 PM) Are you using this guide? Remember to unmount your SD card. I rooted again just now, it kept hanging at 'waiting for device'. Finally made it after I reinstalled drivers from Kies. how u reinstall drivers? is it..in kies, u choose "tools" > "install driver"?http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...highlight=i9003 then after u launch super one click. u choose "gingerbreak"? |

T.T Added on September 8, 2011, 5:01 pm QUOTE(Dannyl @ Sep 7 2011, 05:32 PM) In that case, I used Auto. Make sure debugging ticked, SD card unmounted, drivers installed. My Wireless and networks > USB connection is set to 'ask on connection'. Plug in phone (wait and see if Windows installs any drivers) and click root. root successful! with auto mode. the gingerbreak (from 1st page) doesnt work still. anyway whats the difference after rooting. i see like no difference..GPS totally unpredictable. The other night I drove until arrived at the destination and it never locked. This morning I got a lock in mere seconds. Sigh. EDIT: Seems like my SL can't play 1280x720 MP4 files smoothly with MoboPlayer. The video lags. How about you guys? Found the problem. SL cannot play nicely 720p files encoded in AVC/H264. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...19#post12895619 This post has been edited by Phlore: Sep 8 2011, 05:01 PM |

QUOTE(Dannyl @ Sep 9 2011, 08:44 AM) Rooting itself does nothing, it only allows you full access to your /system folder. For me, with root access, I remove the stock ringtones which I don't like, stock apps which I don't use (even the Browser), install apps like Font Change (change to any TTF fonts easily) and Titanium Backup (full backup of apps, example those games which you played for so long and when flash firmware, all gone). Can remove those startup sound, animation, etc. oh i see! how to remove the stock apps, animation sound etc? so many unwanted apps there! yea planning to use titanium backup. u use free version or full version?oh ya. if i customise my lock screen animation. i want the effect like how we switch off our tv. need to flash new rom ni can do it? |

Help~~ i tried to swap my internal and external sd just now. after following all the steps, i cant see my internal and external storage. then i tried the ADB method from xda forum. not working too. then i hard reset my phone.. anyone swap successful?
okay something weird happened. after i reset. the storage is successfully swapped. but then.. after i transfer stuff into the sd. the phone cant detect both the internal and external sd anymore. it shows 0.00/0.00B. dont know how to save it. even after hard reset still not revert back to original. Hi guys.. would like to ask. when you set wallpaper, what size of picture do u usually choose? or just choose at random. I'm facing this problem. whenever we wanna set a photo as wallpaper, we will be asked to crop it right? just like the picture below. lets say i want to put the whole picture as my wallpaper and not just part of it. how do i do it? i the orange box just cant fit the whole picture. what should i do prior to setting wallpaper? reduce the size or something? the same problem also occur when im setting photo for contacts.

QUOTE(Dannyl @ Oct 20 2011, 09:40 AM) Your resize rectangle seems to be for static wallpaper. If you set it to moving wallpaper, you should get a rectangle with more width than height. Some apps can switch between moving and static wallpaper: Wallpaper Wizardrii, GO Launcher, PicSpeed HD Wallpaper, etc. i'm using Go Launcher and also scrolling wallpaper. I still get the same result.. the orange rectangular is the biggest size the phone allowed me to go.. |
