Extract the RAR, put the router back into emergency mode (same steps as dd-wrt guide) then select the firmware file from the extracted RAR and upload that into the router.

Cheers. Will give it a shot when i get back later tonight.

Is there a guide somewhere which I can follow on how to set up the default router again? I can probably stumble along with the options but would much appreciate if there's a guide. Thanks.

hi all, im vip5 user and juz get my unifi set up yesterday. due to im working at da time tm ppl come my house to set up so my sis help me to observe tm ppl while they r setting up and she dono anything about testing connection

so here is the thing, when i get back home and do some speed test, weird things happen. i did go to speedtest.net using my google chrome browser and click on the 'begin test' but den error occured when try to connect with download
so instead of clicking 'begin test' i click on the 'triangle' shape icon and select 'kuala lumpur' and it works
so the result was quite surprising
download speed was 2.7mbp/s but upload speed reach 5mbp/s
another thing is i tried to download some stuff from microsoft links. if i directly use mozila firefox browser to download i oni able to get 100+kb/s but if i download with idm i can actually get download speed up to 500-600kb/s
can any1 tell me they have encountered such problem before??

and fyi, i area is puchong jaya nearby KOi kinrara
btw, the router im using exactly looks like this link

After complaining like hell due to IPTV keep disconnecting, TM come and change the router from the black colour one to the white colour one which they said is better. This is like 2 weeks ago and so far so good. Sometimes the speed really like WTF.

I have plan to change the router to those suggested but since I am an IT Idiot, dont dare to try as I wont know how to troubleshoot later. Is there any detail guide on how to do it?

Not worth it bcoz u need to sign for 2 years contract +2 years on unifi = 4YEARS contract with tm..huhu..then the tab version is wifi only which is downgrade from tab p1000.that version also not so famous n lack support from developer..

I paln to get unifi soon since 1mbps already fark up (capped). My question is, do you guys have any inside news said that WHEN Unifi will get capped? I hope after subscribe to tie up with that 2 years I can use unlimited bandwidth.

And what are the maximum downlaod speed you can get with 5mbps? Is that all of you satisfy with unifi now? or the speed is not stable?

Thanks in advance.

Have been using UniFi for around 1 1/2 month and this is what i said "I LOVE UNIFI!!!" wub.gif

just got back from NZ for 2 weeks trip and the only thing i can think of is UniFi! notworthy.gif

On desktop PC it's freaking stable even using the black TM router but only weak on wifi connection. sweat.gif

Overall, you won't be disappointed when using UniFi. last time I paid RM 99/month for streamyx and the internet sucks like crap but RM 149/month with freaking high speed internet really satisfy me. rclxms.gif

But.... i applied UniFi since dec 2010 n july 2011 just got installed.... with 2 cancellation booking order (1st because the DP box is not active n the 2nd they cancel without my knowledge). so the 3rd booking order was a success. Should have my UniFi since April 2011 but only use it this July 2011. rclxub.gif

Good Luck! rclxm9.gif

There're some problem with my UniFi WiFi today.. I would say that webpages are only able to load halfway and it stalls just like that. Same goes to my LAN connection where the webpage may or may not load at all
