QUOTE(xVincent @ Aug 13 2011, 11:44 PM) can i know if i live in high rise building, and i live in 13th floor then 1st floor telephone room get burn, will i able to use Unifi? because Unifi are comming to my house on 17/8/2011...and i scare because the Telephone Room get burned on 1st floor so he cant install Unifi for me... i think you must consult with your building management to know the status of the telephone room, either entire room was burn or some device is not completely burn.... the other way i think is, if you had streamyx or phone services and not interrupted with the burn incident, i think you can get unifi on that day..... |

QUOTE(yeowhan @ Aug 24 2011, 10:28 AM) hi all, im vip5 user and juz get my unifi set up yesterday. due to im working at da time tm ppl come my house to set up so my sis help me to observe tm ppl while they r setting up and she dono anything about testing connection sometime speedtest can go haywire....heheheh sometimes its ok...so here is the thing, when i get back home and do some speed test, weird things happen. i did go to speedtest.net using my google chrome browser and click on the 'begin test' but den error occured when try to connect with download so instead of clicking 'begin test' i click on the 'triangle' shape icon and select 'kuala lumpur' and it works so the result was quite surprising download speed was 2.7mbp/s but upload speed reach 5mbp/s another thing is i tried to download some stuff from microsoft links. if i directly use mozila firefox browser to download i oni able to get 100+kb/s but if i download with idm i can actually get download speed up to 500-600kb/s can any1 tell me they have encountered such problem before?? and fyi, i area is puchong jaya nearby KOi kinrara btw, the router im using exactly looks like this link http://imran.kifli.net/wp-content/uploads/..._set_up_box.jpg if you using browser downloader like firefox it slow, if using idm it can go high speed(full speed). this is because idm will accelerate your download using their own technology.... dont know... but i always using idm to take the download.... always give fullspeed. i just try download ubuntu, using firefox only 11kBps.... using idm, 625++kBps....hehehehe |

QUOTE(yeowhan @ Aug 26 2011, 11:02 PM) im vip5 user and this is the result of my speedtest.. first of all please use the correct symbol for Bytes.... it might be confuse some people.... 8kbps = 1kBps.... B=bytes and b=bits....everything seems normal but it is not.. here is my problem.. when i use direct dl such as --> megaupload, fileserver, filesonic, wupload, hotfile (either with jdownloader, cryptload and firefox browser), the speed is only 10-20kb/s i don really know izit my modem/router setting problem or tmnet problem fyi, when i download some stuff from Microsoft link it will be up to 600+kb/s with IDM.. but then if i use firefox it will be arond 100-200kb/s only.. any opinion guys? of course when you use IDM, it will accelerate your download speed up to maximum bandwidth given by ISP or max bandwidth that setting on the server.... from IDM site "Internet Download Manager can accelerate downloads by up to 5 times due to its intelligent dynamic file segmentation technology. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance. " look at the bold part... that why IDM is very good in downloading...for the browser i think they just download without segmenting or maybe they has segmenting but not same as IDM way... |

QUOTE(yeowhan @ Aug 27 2011, 10:56 AM) err did u answered my question? owh i missed the point of the above statement which download with mu,fs and so on file hosting, the answer is for the second one, download from microsoft server... i bet u using the premium account or just free account.... so far for me if free account, mu is the slowest.... fileserve and rapidshare give full speed....i mean from the speedtest my connection seem normal but when comes to the DDL, the speed is quite disappointing or i should say SUCKss im wondering izit the router config problem or the problem is with tm/streamyx?? but i use services like dlnext, so i really dont know the problem might happen to me as well but using dlnext give fullspeed.... |

QUOTE(tomsulliven @ Aug 30 2011, 12:02 AM) i think the pos office will put manually.... let them do the job.... for me, i just pay at tm kiosk... so easy, just key in account number then put rm150(vip5)... then settle...even tm kiosk can pay for other utilities billterminated at tm point....i think you should check back... but please look at the date, for your cycle bill and the termination date...mean that your cycle bill is first day of every month, then you terminate at 15th of this month, so streamyx bill will come with pro-rated for 1-15 of this month.... if not check back with tm... remember keep your terminatio |
