It's very easy to use klseet's instructions... reflashed my RT-N56U for unifi usage in about 10 minutes only.

I wish there were such detailed resources for Maxis FTTH as I'm planning to get that for my office.

Anybody knows if a cross-connect cable (the type used to network 2 PCs directly) will work to connect the STB to DIR-615 for IPTV?

yup no problem. the router config screen (asus custom beta firmware) will let you know which switch port to plug the iptv cable into.

Which TM router are you refering to?

If its the DIR-615 invariably there are 2 things you need to be aware of :-

1. Wide channel does not work well with iPhones and the likes cos its not supported.

2. Because of the compact design n components used (I suspect) the router tends to be poor at dissipating heat that builds up. Turn off the wifi and connect in bridge mode whatever router you prefer (or convert to VLAN switch). Less work load on router = less heat generated.

Based on my tests with the router over 6 months now I do not see issues like WAN disconnects etc. There are good third party stuff out there eg. RB products but its not that bad TM supplied router. And by the way, do not stack the router on top of modem or near heat sources as routers tend to behave strangely when they get far too hot at components level.

I second that... Its RARE... since im on BIZ package too but still using the DIR-615 (Disable the wireless since i dont need it right now). I've never off my router or Modem since installation, rain or shine... Maybe its stable because in my area there is only 2 used port out 6...

Depends on the case. Maybe 2 hours. If lots of drilling required maybe more.

hi, i have one 110EW n 110EP,

1)can i know just plug both into power socket can use already?
or need to press the connect button below at the same time for pairing only can use?

2)my BTU at level 2, can i jus attach the cable from BTU to 110EP, then another side attach with 110EW with router?

BTU+110EP----110EW+router (then only come out with iptv LAN4 and PC with LAN1)

TQ.

Ok, i have subscribed my UniFi and subscribed one channels that is billed monthly (For survey Purposes)

Then now i would like to terminate the Monthly Billing Service, but seems like it is not possible to terminate it on the STB itself.

anyone has any ideas how to terminate it? i have went to TMpoint and they ask me terminate the VAS (Value Added Service) within the UniFi itself.

And after 1 month still same, UniFi Still Charges me sad.gif
