weird things happened to my unifi connection these few days, from morning till evening, the speed is so damn slow, wifi connection keep disconnect, (im using TL-841ND), but when it comes to night time, around 9 or 10 something, the connection speed back to normal, this already happened for the past 2 or 3 days. i alraedy tried to reset the router, but still the same. anyone knows why?
*
Seconding this. Have tried changing my WAN IP (wondering if its the same with Streamyx. Some sets of IPs that are performing significantly better than the rest), have no luck. From the way I see it, every subnet works the same for me. it's just a matter of was it fast during the day or during the night.

Seeking for some ideas around here. I've been reading a little and googling a little bit but there doesn't seem to be supporting evidence from other people around. Some people were talking about the 2GB quota per day. Exceed that and your speed is cap for the day .. released next day .. How true is this?

I'm using Vip5 package. It'll go downloading at 580kbps and after few hours, it'll go to 180-260kbps for the rest of the day. Using Direct Downloads such as Fileserve, Rapidshare, etc. Anyone has any idea about this?

Definitely breached my 60gb quota per month but doesn't looked like its a continuous cap because sometimes within the day, i can still go at 580kbps for a few GBs of data. So, it could be a different kind of thing.

** The above speed is through a Premium account **

Is it true that TP-Link Support Centre is based in Low Yat Plaza? If yes, can someone please tell me which floor?
Thank you.

Most file sharing site limit your download speed unless you are a premium member. I can seldom go above 250 kbps

Hi Everyone,

I bought a TP-Link switch TL-SL2210WEB with modified firmware and pre-configured to handle the Unifi VLAN requirements. The benefits of this is that I can use my own wireless router running tomato to replace the Unifi D-link DIR-615 that I found to require frequent reboots. The switch has a total of 8 10/100 ports + a 1000 uplink port. Port 1 is used to connect to the BTU, port 7 wireless router & port 8 to the STB (vlan 600). Does anyone know if it is possible to reconfigure the switch so the remaining ports can be used for vlan 500?

yea... you will lose the access to vlan.600 aka iptv network... sad.gif
So, it's better if u just stick with the tp-link unifi tailored made firmware...
or if u still wanna try dd-wrt, just set your dir-615 to bridge mode.. instruction for set it up can refer to http://unifi.athena.my

RM10 stamp duty + prorated charge (date installation until bill cycle)

Hi all, my first bill consists of RM10 Stamp Duty + Prorated Charge + RM149 for September (seems like this is advanced payment).

Is this correct? I thought 1st month waived? so shouldn't the 1st month bill (prorated) be waived?

Hi, I installed DD-WRT on my router using the guide here..

http://unifi.athena.my/ddwrt_guide.html

Do you know how I could revert back to the original firmware? I've downloaded it from the link given in the guide (http://unifi.athena.my/downloads/DIR615G1_FIRMWARE_705.rar
) but not sure on what to do with it.

Many thanks.

I paln to get unifi soon since 1mbps already fark up (capped). My question is, do you guys have any inside news said that WHEN Unifi will get capped? I hope after subscribe to tie up with that 2 years I can use unlimited bandwidth.

And what are the maximum downlaod speed you can get with 5mbps? Is that all of you satisfy with unifi now? or the speed is not stable?

Thanks in advance.

Extract the RAR, put the router back into emergency mode (same steps as dd-wrt guide) then select the firmware file from the extracted RAR and upload that into the router.
