I just bought the WR1043ND router today and set it up as according to klseet's website. Everything is running perfectly.
Just one problem, I'm using a CAT5E cable between my PC and the router and if I set my PC to use 1Gbps, my PC can't connect to the router. So I'm running at 100Mbps now. Hopefully it's just a problem with the cable. |

I have the EXACT same problem too. I installed unifi on friday, problem occurred on Saturday, so I called them up on Sunday and they came today and gave me a new one. Now it's working fine. they really think we'r stupid. Anyway, is it possible to use back my old streamyx number(not the internet line) ? I called twice, one said I can, the other said I only have one phone port, so I can't. |

New Unify user here.
I must say I'm pretty impressed with the 5Mb/s upgrade from 1Mb/s Streamyx. Downloading torrent in fullspeed, Filesonic and other filehost in fullspeed. Happy as a clam. ![]() Just wondering, is the upload speed supposed to be higher than download speed? I got a terrific 1MB/s upload speed, which is holy cow! |

QUOTE(MeatballHLM @ Oct 31 2011, 07:17 PM) Don't know, though the upload speed is variable. Sometimes I get 1 MB/s and when I tried the speedtest again, I got 600 Kb/s minimum. So It's quite normal to get average 500 Kb/s for upload speed? This is big improvement for me from 40 Kb/s Streamyx. XD oh i remember the day i upgraded from streamyx.. what a big jump it was really thrilled.. but after a while nothing left to download... dont know what else to do.. normal againOh man I hope it's not going too slow in the second week. I'm trying to limit my downloading habit to not more than 4 GB a day then maybe TM will leave me alone, lol. like jumping from 56k to 1 mb! wow so fass then after a while... I wonder when will the day we say oh i remember unifi vip10 days.. oni 10 huhuhu.. maybe 10 years from now i jus hope tm keep investing in the infrastructure and improve the service as more ppl adopt unifi.. if not then cpas/throttle... |

Not sure if anyone from Lowyat forum here is interested in getting Vigor 2130n router (with wireless and Unifi compatible) from DrayTek Malaysia. I have sent a product enquiry to their sales team two days ago and received an official reply from them that they are having sales promotion for Vigor 2130n router (limited units only) at the moment.
Their customer service reply to all my enquiries promptly and professionally. The price is quite attractive, so I have ordered 1 unit of Vigor 2130n from DrayTek. It really surprise me that they even help me to update my router to the latest firmware and configure it to be Unifi-ready before courier it to me. If you are planning to get a Vigor router, do contact their sales team at sales@draytek-malaysia.com More information on the router can be obtained here: Vigor 2130 series This post has been edited by suying: Oct 31 2011, 08:37 PM |
