im using utorrent
can tell me how to setting in order to get full speed like urs

Generally I use this setup for most of the torrent client on my VIP5:
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...&#entry43194191

No guarantee full speed, lately my torrent up & down, not stable at all, could be the submarine cable issue.....

I'll test further on the Linux-base, I could be wrong, it seem to have better speed than my current uTorrent on Windows unsure.gif

Using my 29" CRT TV. (Fat & Old TV)
I am aware that I cannot enjoy the HD resolution.

Can I watch all the channel in Unifi provided ?

Will the STB / Unifi detect my TV is not Full HD or HD-Ready and Block the content ?
*
The only free channel in HD is LUKE TV.
The rest in SD.
Want HD channel, buy separately, price/channel.

my o my, do you know that the so call 6% tax is only apply to telephony services?

I read around and found this : Cukai 6% kepada pelanggan Unifi dan Streamyx mulai 2012?

No need to google. Just go to Unifi customer portal, go to my bills and you'll see this notification

First you are given RM500 tax relief for internet; assuming your effective (after all reliefs and  deductions) tax rate is 15%, then the tax savings works out to be RM75 per year.

Now if you have VIP5 at RM149/month = RMRM1788/year; 6% tax = RM107.30.

And why those prepaid mobile users don't have to pay 6% tax?
*
QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Oct 12 2011, 02:33 PM)
Why prepaid mobile user have to?

Afterall, we should ask, why do we pay 6%? I really doubt the need for us to pay 6%. Why don't they charge 6% from telco instead of end user? WHY?
*
QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Oct 12 2011, 03:26 PM)
I got no comment on those restaurant but just telcos

They're making a large margin of profit from us and now want us to bear that 6%? But restaurant also la == Like mamak! Sugar rise few tenth cents, the rise the price of each Teh tarik 20 cents. Don't tell me you make 2~5 teh tarik with 1kg of sugar...

Should stop here. A bit related to politic.  laugh.gif

correct bro, Najib oredi give RM500 income tax relief on broadband for BUDGET 2010 starting from assesment Year 2010 to 2012.

& then suddenly to tax 6% for internet to subscribers.

Tak kena la.

Next time, call TM 100 or Ministry of Finance for clarification,
don't speculate, mcm tin kosong, bunyi kuat but got nothing inside.

Feel sorry for your speed .....
[attachmentid=2282531]
I was conducting some heavy torrenting test on TL-WR741ND based on my VIP5 package since last night, 7 hours over still full speed ahead!  sweat.gif

I'm using uTorrent, settings like this:
[attachmentid=2282533]
[attachmentid=2282534]
[attachmentid=2282535]
[attachmentid=2282536]
[attachmentid=2282537]

Only thing I noticed it's the 175x IP can be up & down during different time interval, but overall still seem ok, I think still no throttling yet. smile.gif

Eh... Don't blame me first la! Blame facebook! The "News" got speculated on Facebook first and I'm not the one who post it in first. Someone else before me did that so I thought it's something confirmed only I link it here...

Anyway, is the 6% referring the the TAX on the CALL USAGE we used? I remember I got taxed on that sometime back. Hmm...

I think if its read correctly, it says the 6% service tax is on "taxable services", which means the tax is on telephony and IPTV subscription portion only and excludes the basic internet part.

I long time never join the Hub, my VIP5 just too little bandwidth ... sweat.gif

For TPL port foward, I think it's under the Forwarding -->Virtual Servers, click Add New:
Attached Image

Enter relevant information, click Save when done:

For torrenting, assign a fix IP to your PC/laptop and use higher port like 5xxxx.
Can consider uTorrent or qBittorrent software, both are good ! nod.gif

I just tested again the latest qBittorrent v2.9 on LinuxMint, seem able to get good speed !

Initially it download from local peers (notice the 110x IP, as I always believe it's good IP!), then suddenly the Korean peers arrive, notice the high download speed on that Korean IP .....
Attached Image
and it continue to download mostly from that Korean peer, not sure why .....

Overall i can get full download speed with low upload speed.
And the qBittorrent comes with daemon installed and can access remotely via web:
Attached Image

Really not bad, looks like I'll stick with the 512RAM old laptop on LinuxMint[LXDE]+qBittorrent from now laugh.gif
