Last time Axreit was giving out 14-15 cents, and price was Rm1.00 during financial crisis at its height time.

i am one of the few that manage to buy @ RM1 last time.

now my ave cost is still only RM1.45

HEKTAR Rights issue has just been announced, RM1.25 per Rights unit.

If I want to buy the rights from the open market, does that mean I have to pay RM1.25 (assuming someone wants to let go at that price) to the seller and then pay RM1.25 again to the Registrar (to exercise the Right)?

I'm new to exercising rights issue. Sorry if the above question sounds stupid. Tried looking up the AMFIRST rights issue for any examples but couldn't find any and the Stock FAQ sticky did not go indepth.

if you want to buy a right issue,u have to bought from open market from somebody......

it should be around the estimate share price after fully distribution (around rm1.43 base on today price(1.49)(it will go up or go down)) - issue price(1.23) - 2-5sen=around 15-18sen per right

and then u will have to pay rm1.23 per right to convert your right to mother share cool2.gif

HEKTAR needed additional funds to buy 2 new shopping malls, thus Rights Issue is the way to get more funds to invest.
