I really bad luck, bought 20,000 at 1.38 then closed last min at 1.33

I also bought a lot in last few days at 1.39-1.42. Damn! Bought too early!!

but 1.33 is really a good price. Don't know next monday will continue to fall or not.

Liquidated 75% of REITs yesterday, profit taking. I entered the market in Qtr3/Qtr4 2011; made some 15% profit inc distribution.

Will pick them up post PRU-13 i.e. somewhere in June/July-2012.

What made you decide to liquidate now ?

SUNREIT down 3 cents, CMMT down 6 cents. These two are the most steady REITs in the market. Does today drop indicate the increase of investors' risk appetite into riskier stocks now that global sentiment has improved?

Not related, the price drop is just last min sales come in that send the price sudden downwards pressure.
Monday may go back up one.

Economy good, property sector booming, good rental demand, better rental rate as well as appreciation in reit underlying properties value. Those are positive factor for reit price.

Since somebody claim Sunreit drop in price is due to recent news which I assume is the refurbishment of Sunway Putra Place using 200mil, isn't it actually a good thing? Why price drop? Or it's just temporary? Don't understand market psychology...

I was wondering the same question as well. Are the big investor worry that they will request funds from shareholder?

Maybe those short term kaki run 1st, scare no dividend or slower appreciation due to liquidity.

though for a better future, money on hand need to put aside first for that purpose, so some investors might not like the idea.

As for CMMT's selldown today, I think the rights issue proposed few months earlier are about to be announced soon. Some parties might not want to fork out more money.

based on last year, cmmt should announce dividend in march.
