To BT over to CIMB, it mentioned need to submit "Latest credit card statement from the issuing bank"? The statement does it need to capture the amount where I am going to BT over?

I think it's not min of RM 50 for 1st five months. It's 5% of the current outstanding balance for the 1st five months.

For CIMB and CIMB DA yes. The min amount is either RM 50 or 5% of the monthly outstanding whichever HIGHER.

Best way to double confirm with CS.

I think you have to pay 5% min amount of the outstanding amount, i.e. for the 1st month = RM125.

hi guys,

im in a bit of a situation and hoping u guys can help me.

I have a HSBC cc with outstanding amount of RM6000 and PBB cc with outstanding amount of RM7000.

So, i wana do a balance transfer with MBB 0% interest free for 1 year but yet have to apply their cc. Thats where the problem occur.
Should i tell the MBB cc customer service that i need at least 15K credit limit for the balance transfer purposes? Is that even possible? And the promotion ended at the end of April....so to apply for new MBB cc and to apply for balance transfer before April...that seems pretty tight.

Or should i just continue paying on the individual cards with the interest without doing a balance transfer for a year? (its dumb but this is the last resort)

So, i hope u guys can help me on this matter. Thank you in advance.

Cheers.

rclxub.gif shocking.gif You are definitely heading into debt.

You may apply now for the Maybank CC and continue to pay HSBC and PBB... as for 15k CL, it's up to MBB to evaluate your risk profile (VERY RISKY as you owe RM13k now)

There's nearly 1 month to go. You may just fax the application tomorrow and act fast.

Approval to your CC application is 1st thing to worry for.
Approval CC with the offered credit limit is 2nd thing to worry for.
Approval for the balance transfer is 3rd to worry for.

So you have some many things on the plate to worry.

I BT in January from OCBC Titanium to my Amex using 0% for 12 months and approved. If before Maybank promotion ends 30 April 2011, I want to do another exactly same BT, is that possible? Meaning 2 identical BTs but different months?

No. The guy told me it is still in processing. Worst case scenario ? Call them up to cancel the BT application and pay the bill myself by the end of next week.

Miles, any update from the maybank? I summit the document at Monday, see when they will approve the application.
