QUOTE(Gen-X @ Mar 14 2010, 10:11 PM) see if this can be done BT your MBB amount to CIMB 6 months 0% and BT your CIMB amount to MBB 3 months 0% OMG ... that's so cumbersome but it's a good strategy as long as you remembered what you have done to avoid interest are being charged later for any late/missed repayment.

QUOTE(oldJunk @ Apr 19 2010, 04:00 PM) hi everybody, i have a few questions... 1. how long will it take to process for balance transfer? 1 day? 1 week? 2. card 1 outstanding balance = rm5k card 2 oustanding balance = 0 credit limit on both card = rm10k can i BT from card 1 to card 2 for rm10k so i can get cash rm5k? thanks in advance.. 1. For CIMB DA, it's usually few days within 1 week. 2. You can BT the outstanding amount from card 1 to card 2 provided that both cards are not issued from the same bank. To get RM 5k cash, I cannot get what you meant.

QUOTE(oldJunk @ Apr 19 2010, 08:38 PM) it means that i want to BT based on my credit limit...not outstanding balance...hope u understand... by the way...thanks for the answer... I doubt that could be possible. Even tough it's possible, you won't be able to get the extra amount in term of cash.

QUOTE(teddymon @ Jun 8 2010, 11:31 PM) which bank have the highest transfer balance? Since my dad max out 20k with his credit card and wants to stop using it without paying the high interest rate. It depends on your card limit. It's pretty subjective.

Maybank also has similar programme called CashTreats but the interest is pretty at 8.88% (even tough lower than usual financial charge for credit cards).

QUOTE(davegan84 @ Sep 10 2010, 03:07 AM) Agree with Gen-X, i'm now serving the 2nd time BT with Direct Access. This is the application form: http://www.directaccess.com.my/index.php?c...448&tpt=cimb_daplease refer to the T&C, the BT is not divided into 6 months; it will due only on the 7th month. Cheers... I like DA BT so much. The current BT is the 4th one. I have completed repaying two.

QUOTE(truelife @ Sep 26 2010, 07:41 AM) just found out that OCBC can allow us to transfer to OCBC up to 60% of the available credit limit only. Maybank is 70%. the best is CIMB, 100% ! i have a question: let say i have transferred outstanding 50k from Citibank to CIMB for 6 months plan. in the middle of these 6 months, can i do another BT from Citibank/or other bank to CIMB again ? Yes; provided that you still have sufficient credit limit.

QUOTE(samquah @ Sep 26 2010, 09:12 AM) citibank BT rates r very high ( 11.99% for 12 months) Public bank rates r good now 1. 0% for 6 months or the other good option longer term 2. BT for pb is 5% for 2 years (comes to like 2.5% per yr) very good deal The only prob us my PB CL is low... so i cant transfer much.... Those with CIMB cc, can waive the fees? saw the gold cimb but they have consition like certain rm of transcations only can waive the fee What kind of fee are you talking about for CIMB/CIMB DA? It's 0% for 6-month plan or 1% for 12-month plan with a min amount of RM 1k for each transfer.

QUOTE(samquah @ Sep 26 2010, 08:21 PM) for citibank, they have a good offer for BALANCE CONVERSION you can convert your existing balance of your citibank cc at 9.88% pa interest this is good option to split the payments into installments max 3 years. can less the burden. I believe CIMB/CIMB DA also have almost similar feature with one-time upfront fee of 3% and min amount to convert is RM 500. It's called i.pay plan.

QUOTE(truelife @ Sep 28 2010, 11:25 AM) i mean, can i show unbilled transaction to CIMB ? Eg. my current statement due date is 1 Oct, outstanding 1k. i spend 10k on 27 Sep, shown in internet but will be reflected in my next statement with due date 1 Nov. Becoz i have not receive the new statement yet, can i do 10k BT by showing the unbilled outstanding of 11k printed from internet to CIMB ? Or should i wait the new statement to come then can only do BT ? Thanks I doubt they accept. They want first page bill summary showing outstanding amount and payment due date.
