i didn't do anything major yet on my phone since i got it yesterday coz someone mentioned reading through this entire thread which contains loads of info. In fact it is. so far my experience with the stock phone are as below;
- the design is nice and simple, except the back camera (can easily get scratch it coz it pops up a bit)
- the touchscreen is less responsive with stock SP
- the camera quality is a bit disappointing
- after playing some flash video in browser, the phone became extremely laggy
- speakers are quite impressive, i think better than iphone4
- LCD screen a bit out of pace, old tech, less viewing angle
- don't like the UI and also the unlock screen method
- battery life sux
i'm not trying to complaint over a phone with such spec and less than 800 bucks. just wanna share my thoughts before i flash the rom. woohoo...

Common sense buddy, if we use some other guy phone CMW modded for his phone and we can use it, why not our stock one won't work for others? Maybe on weekends I will upload it, but I forgot which one is the stock recovery on my PC, because there is some of them with 'recovery.img' on their name.

erm. dunno lor.
i tot our recovery.img related to that unique hash like IMEI.
if like that less one problem to worried about.

i can not open the bootloader, so, cannot proceed with RC!
1 installation..it keeps going to recovery mode.. i have no idea how to get into bootloader..

I'm happy to say after changing to about 3 recovery and about 6 ROM (3 official and 3 modded) the IMEI remains the same

Touchscreen is quite an issue if its hot, but its not without fix. You can use high quality screen protector and lowering the clock frequency or lowering voltage to prevent the screen going haywire. But even if it did, just turn off the screen, clean the screen a bit and it works fine afterwards. Mind you I don't use any screen protector at all since I use a pouch

Nope, proper procedure is on 1st post. First thing to do is flash RC1, then flash RC2.

I'm having this same kind pf problem... can it be fixed by installing WiFi patch? anyone?

woohoo on rc2 now... at a glance, everything feels very fast... will install supercharger later

I don't know, but what I do is patch it before installing RC2. I don't experience restart though

What should i do?

install WiFi patch to the existing RC2 or reinstall RC1 > WiFi patch > RC2

Hey guys! I'm new here, currently I'm having some problem with my tether portable wi-fi hotspot,
it seem error for no reason, I can't tether through wifi. Is there anything I can do for fix this problem?

juz claimed back my phone from CSL HQ yesterday.

i sent my phone to CSL HQ on tuesday due to my camera issue, so customer service said it can b done on the same day, unfortunately, they don hv stock of the board on hand, so i nicely explain to them bout my situation cuz juz got it 1 month ++, so the technician help me explain to the service manager n agree to dismantle a new set circuit board n replace for me yesterday... i would say, its a very good n pleasant experience at CSL HQ, other SC i dunno....

now, i using cherry magnum HD rom due to its battery comsumption.... but i did rooted n added SU + CPU master to set my phone processor, everything looks great now.....

p/s: I tried waxing the screen, REALLY EFFECTIVE but only for 2 days... how about you?

About a few days. Quite disappointed that the fact it don't last as long as it did on windshield

hi, just bought this phone, mine firmware still 2.2, after i read the first page, just use superoneclick right to root? then can install cwm from recovery?

if all u want is just the official 2.3.4
1. u can flash it via the orginal stock recovery
take the rom from the 1st page extract it to ur pc rename it to firmware.nb0
put it on the root of ur SD
got to recovery and flash it

2. u dont need to root to install CWM read he 1st page for details on the same
all the info u want is given in detail on the 1st page pls read and u will suceed
