How to update ROM:
1st method:
WARNING: Make sure you have at least 50% battery capacity before continue!
1) Extract the ZIP file, rename the .nb0 file to firmware.nb0
2) Copy the file firmware.nb0 to your SD card. Make sure it is placed in the root folder (not saved in a folder) and turn off your phone and enter bootloader.
3) To enter bootloader mode, press and hold volume up + down + power buttons until you see the image of the Android logo with exclamation mark.
4) Press ‘Home’ key to show the update utility. Use the volume buttons to select the option “Download nb0 from SD card”. It is recommended that you wipe clean/format all the caches before continue with update process
5) Press ‘back arrow’ to confirm.
6) Reboot your phone, it took some time on first boot so patience

2nd method:
WARNING: Make sure you have at least 50% battery capacity before continue!
1) Download SUT L3 (recommended) and install it
2) Download the ROM you wanted to flash and extract it to get .nb0 file
3) Turn off your phone and enter download mode by pressing volume up and press power button, this text should come out after it vibrates:

4) Plug in your phone, run SUT and follow instruction. After its done turn off your phone, if it isn't open up battery
5) Reboot your phone, it took some time on first boot so patience

Some extra tweaks:
Chainfire3D custom video driver (requires root) (not recommended for Gingerbread because screen brightness wont work and button light is off)

Rooting:
For 2.2.2 ROM you need SuperOneClick (v1.7 is recommended) with rageagainstthecage exploit
For 2.3.4 ROM you can use manual method by following instruction here. Or follow rooting through CWM recovery method

Common shortcut on the phone (when the phone is off):
Recovery (or clockwork recovery if you install it): Volume Up + Volume Down + Power
Download mode (to install nb0 via SUT or replacing any system files): Volume Up + Power

Overclock kernel: DooMLord released the elusive 1.9GHz kernel, download link and instruction is here.

WARNING: Although the author said it I gonna say it again: Its not for the faint hearted, I DON'T RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO USE IT. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. If you have basic idea of overclocking on desktop you should apply it here too.

Don't be silly and select 1.9GHz straight away, test from 1.4GHz and slowly increase the frequency and test using SetCPU stress test or play some games. DON'T use 1.9GHz all the time, you might shorten the lifespan of the phone. My phone stable at that frequency, but it gets heated high enough that the touchscreen cease to function and phone gets really uncomfortable to hold. You have been warned

HTC HD7 pouch (it won't fit 100% but still better than nothing)

Nope, it shouldn't be. If it did you did wrong somewhere

the touchscreen detects heat diference on the svreen surface. am i right?
tht is y sometimes the back button camt recognise touch when the phone is hot.
try blow onto the screen. see conflicts of touch recognition.

Added on August 5, 2011, 12:54 amis it bcoz i uninstall some bloatware on it? i wanna root ahain but afraid it will mess up my phone like b4. or mybe its not that rooting that gaves it the problem. i need to find it out.

Its nice post ...like one point solution........ today only updated to new firware.... feel is good .... not able to install drivers ADB and other .... because of that not able to locate and replace image file developed by TJ... any help help would be appreciated....

OMG finally a really thread for Mi410 . Thanks Najmods for the the help yesterday. So far my dad has no complain on the phone after flashing to Wellcom . This problem makes me think that CSL's ROM really should be fixed. Even Thailand (Wellcom i search is from Thailand )ROM better then ours haiz. Hope this thread become more active compare to the previuos wan .

Hmmm i was thinking if it can go less than rm899. I m X10 user which cost like rm1001 saw in ebay. Well i have a mi300 too, was think to upgrade it.

Najmods, got a question : when downloading games, which device should we refer to cuz i downloaded some gameloft games that could not support cuz it was diff version (uncompatible)
