I have finally (I believe) found a solution to the crazy touchscreen (random auto-touch, even when the device isn't hot, usually while charging)
that is by removing screen protector (SGSII's...)... LOL currently running Wellcom A99's 318E ROM + Supercharge script, tried RC2 but the script manager seems to have its own mind... |

guys I am ordering external battery charger + battery set from overseas, would anyone like to join?
charger is rated 5v 800mA output & battery 1500mAh (skeptical... but should at least match stock battery) price is 12.8 USD inclusive of shipping, = around RM40, ETA should be 7~14 working days This post has been edited by ashyxt: Sep 28 2011, 02:07 AM |

QUOTE(Rudd @ Sep 29 2011, 12:40 AM) IMO it is, but just don't use any screen protector at all (or find a very high quality one?...)when it comes to gaming, the sole problem lies within the touch screen's compability with generic screen protector... after applying the supercharger script, memory management issue is already eliminated.... QUOTE(Najmods @ Sep 29 2011, 08:00 AM) There are no memory related problem with this phone, it is fast stock to run games, only issue is if your game requires a lot of touch control its going to be a problem because of axis inversion bug. If you intended to run emulator I'd say you can forget playing on Mi410. Simple game such as Angry Birds and Inotia 3 runs well without problems well... I can't be sure... but in my case the touch screen has definitely been better by miles without screen protector, no problem whatsoever so far....with screen protector on, GT racing auto academy (set brake on bottom left of screen & throttle bottom right) is unplayable because of the axis inversion bug (finger on throttle but brake is randomly ON lol...) QUOTE(megat89 @ Oct 1 2011, 05:27 PM) planning to get this phone..is this phone good for gps navigation, and light gaming?..the csl also give free mapking license also right? GPS navigation no, relatively slow lock & unstable, weak signal... sort of... light gaming... as long as it does not require more than 1 touch point (even alternatively) it should be fine, the hardware is much more powerful than other similarly priced phone free mapking license - yes Added on October 1, 2011, 10:07 pm QUOTE(pstan82 @ Oct 1 2011, 05:58 PM) what ROM? is RC2 the root of the problem? (since the ROM overclocks & undervolts etc etc...)
I reverted to WellcoM 318E anyway........ hope I did the right thing by the way, just now I bought a "better quality" screen protector (shop guy claimed), slapped it on, played 10 laps of GT auto racing academy ghost mode time attack..... guess what........ for freakin' 5 times!!! the brake automatically came on when I was about to set faster lap time..... especially the last lap, almost threw my phone to the wall................. |

the screen is scratch resistant but not up to gorilla glass's rigidity |

QUOTE(Najmods @ Oct 9 2011, 12:08 PM) I sort of fixed the screen sensitivity with sweaty palm, I used Rain-X; the one that used on windshield to prevent water from smearing and makes it into droplets. I run it till its hot, the screen sensitivity runs great throughout, until the phone hangs because I play games for too long holy shit you waxed your phone's screen, what a creative idea... salute last night I was thinking, to make (conductive...) thumb covers with antistatic paper for my thumbs lol, haven't started then I saw your post, gonna try it out! |

QUOTE(cheezzzz @ Oct 10 2011, 04:19 PM) I am the odd one out here, I tried RC2 before going WellcoM's difference... I prefer the WellcoM stock ROM's user interface, the boot sound & visual is a bit silly but I learned how to change it afterwards... performance wise, just root it & modify from there, e.g. bloatware removal, replacing kernel with tweakable one & overclock + undervolt etc... most importantly, it has NONE of the annoying bugs from CSL's ROM... yet retaining the "originality" feel p/s: assuming weak GPS signal & touchscreen axis inversion bug are hardware issues This post has been edited by ashyxt: Oct 10 2011, 08:27 PM |

QUOTE(cheezzzz @ Oct 12 2011, 04:08 PM) vanilla GPS? what's that? the GPS, non-A-GPS, offline GPS...bro try to flash to Wellcom ROM first and if you find it okay, no problem, then donit to change la.. I flashed to rc2 cuz mine had sucky battery drain and auto restart issues. Now with RC2 no more battery issues, but auto restart still occurs but a lot lesser already. ermm I believe you had the battery drain issue due to miscalibration (common problem after flashing ROM if your battery is not fully charged during the process...) |
