can any1 solve screen unlock lag/delay problem...really its becoming big headache
*
Just get rid of the screen lock, like me............ Last time I have 3 locks before I can use my phone. 1st is opening the leather flip case, 2nd pressing a physical button to light up the display and finally unlocking the screen.........what a hassle. What I did was to install Battery Indicator( it is used to indicate the battery level with a numerical value in your notification bar) to disable the screen lock. You have to unlock one time when you power up/reboot your phone after that it is straight into your home screen when you light up the display. Another useful app is Silent Bot, useful when you don't want that irritating sound when you switch on or off your phone, not to disturb your partner's sleep. It will only work if it is installed in the phone memory and not the SD card.

How often do you guys experience the overheating/crazy screen problem? And under what circumstances? I have been somewhat eyeing this phone and I read about this issue about the phone, which became the main drawback.

And is there any way to prevent it from happening? Eg: Flashing rom, tweaking cpu and stuff?

Very rarely actually, unless you run CPU intensive task all the time. Lowering CPU speed helps, and if you install DooMLoRD custom kernel you can reduce voltage as well but this is advanced stuff and could result in hang/lockups

I followed these steps and was able to install RC1.. gud luck

How to update ROM:
1st method:
WARNING: Make sure you have at least 50% battery capacity before continue!

1) Extract the ZIP file, rename the .nb0 file to firmware.nb0
2) Copy the file firmware.nb0 to your SD card. Make sure it is placed in the root folder (not saved in a folder) and turn off your phone and enter bootloader.
3) To enter bootloader mode, press and hold volume up + down + power buttons until you see the image of the Android logo with exclamation mark.
4) Press ‘Home’ key to show the update utility. Use the volume buttons to select the option “Download nb0 from SD card”. It is recommended that you wipe clean/format all the caches before continue with update process
5) Press ‘back arrow’ to confirm.
6) Reboot your phone, it took some time on first boot so patience

I am the odd one out here, I tried RC2 before going WellcoM's

difference... I prefer the WellcoM stock ROM's user interface, the boot sound & visual is a bit silly but I learned how to change it afterwards...

performance wise, just root it & modify from there, e.g. bloatware removal, replacing kernel with tweakable one & overclock + undervolt etc...

most importantly, it has NONE of the annoying bugs from CSL's ROM... yet retaining the "originality" feel

p/s: assuming weak GPS signal & touchscreen axis inversion bug are hardware issues

so u mean to say that procedure is same for updating csl official rom(gb 2.3.4) and rc1 from tj_style... pls guide me
*
Yup! thats what i did..... here's the steps..

Replace the original Recovery with ClockWorkmod
First Step

First step: Replace original recovery with ClockWorkmod Recovery
1. Download ClockWorkMod Recovery
2. Put the device in download mode (Power+Vol Up) and connect to PC,
and the PC will recognize the device as Removable Disc/Storage open it and you will find FIH > Image folder and select recovery.img, copy it anywhere to your PC as backup just in case if anything go wrong
3. Replace recovery.img in 'image' folder with recovery.img inside the Clockworkmod Recovery v4.0.0.9 you download and extracted earlier
4. Disconnect device from PC, open up the battery and reboot.

Second Step
Download a copy of RC1
Install RC1 using Su 2.3.6.3

DO FIRST STEP FIRST: Rooting the phone
1. Download Su 2.3.6.3 signed.zip and put it in sdcard (but don't put it in any folder)
2. Put the device in recovery mode (Power+Vol Up & Vol Down)
3. Select "install zip from sdcard" and select "Choose zip from sdcard" and search for 'Su 2.3.6.3 signed.zip' and click install.
4. Select "back" and click "reboot system now"

Third Step
Install RC2 Using CWM

Fourth Step
Enjoy!!:)

That's not true. My HTC Wildfire S locks on to GPS within 5 secs outdoors on inside car. GPS doesn't work inside house or buildings.

I believe most would prefer the vanilla GPS to fix quick due to data usage required by A-GPS...
