make actual transfer to verify.

that could be just an outdated label.

else, use classic m2u or wait for Maybank to fix.

You need to double check your facts as Citibank does offer IBFT, it has been free since 2016

I think he is referring to AEON CC payment which need to go to Citibank, AEON CC payment only accept IBG to Citibank despite Citibank accept IBFT

I've just tried Instant Transfer via the new M2U just now. Still charged with 0.50. Isnt the waiver effective from Jul 1 for all banks?

so far major banks yes.

but each bank has different implementation. maybank only waive Instant Transfer for up to RM5k per transaction.

the new M2U, really charged or you only test the screen/page? if charged, complaint to Maybank to get refund of the fee!

for classic M2U, no issue. for new M2U App, no issue. i tried both this morning.

Just now tried multiple IBFT <RM5000 few times through Maybank, no charge
which means if wish to transfer >RM5000 can split to few times of RM5000 each to avoid charge

Banks waive fee for Instant Interbank Fund Transfer

CIMB Bank Bhd was one of the first, offering free online transfers through its online banking platform and mobile apps regardless of the transaction amount, as of April 25.

Public Bank Bhd has also made Interbank GIRO (IBG) and IBFT free for conventional and Islamic accounts, as of June 13

RHB Bank Bhd allows for free IBFT, but still charges 10sen for IBG.

Maybank also does not charge for IBG or IBFT as long as the amount is RM5,000 and under.

this maybank really disgraceful. as the biggest bank they should be setting a good example and garner more goodwill. instead, behaving like being force to waive the 50sen and macam want to give but not willing like that, conditions here and there. whats this below rm5k and only ibft nonsense? much smaller banks can waive all yet maybank acting all butthurt.

nowadays everywhere else free transfer, i prefer leaving my cash with high yield savings account and just minimal amount at maybank just for their atm network. you blow meh? tongue.gif

IBG not free. No need to use IBG. Use IBFT only.
