Does any bank allow one to bypass the ibg/giro daily transfer limits exceeding 30k or 50k via any special means?

this maybank really disgraceful. as the biggest bank they should be setting a good example and garner more goodwill. instead, behaving like being force to waive the 50sen and macam want to give but not willing like that, conditions here and there. whats this below rm5k and only ibft nonsense? much smaller banks can waive all yet maybank acting all butthurt.
nowadays everywhere else free transfer, i prefer leaving my cash with high yield savings account and just minimal amount at maybank just for their atm network. you blow meh? |

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jul 30 2018, 10:30 PM) Banks are not charitable organisations. Hence they don't need to give things for free. They just need to follow BNM order. BNM said transaction using IBFT <RM5k must be free. BNM didn't say all transaction using IBFT or IBG must be free. nobody is talking about giving things for free but there are ways of doing business and smarter ways of doing business. as the banking industry leader, they could have seized the initiative and started the ball rolling. instead they were left to scramble as other bank decided to waive all charges. they were one of the last banks to make an announcement.Hence Maybank just make IBFT <RM5k free as per BNM order and continue charging other fees. Is all business. now they announced to waive all charges for ibft. quite likely they realised that customers were bypassing their 5k limit and just do multiple transfer if they needed more than 5k. so mbb ended up didn't make more plus putting additional load on their backend. definitely wasn't well thought out and appears bumbling to my eyes as a customer. to me, this plus the amex cashback, gia and the so called "upgraded and improved websites" episodes, doesn't do much to mbb's image. |
