U can try using app2sd and move2sd but that wont get ur internal free enuff becoz u still have ur dalvik cache in there unless u use darktremor a2sd which can transfer that cache to the sd card

Screen Of Death... it should be due to wifi issue...

perhaps disable wifi when no in use
or
settings->wireless n newtwork->wi-fi settings->click on menu and go in "advanced" -> set the wifi sleep policy to never.

but some ppl no related with wifi issues... but no harm to try out...
so far i only face once SOD as i forgot switch off wifi when no in use...
*
I'll give it a try. But sometimes I did not on WiFi but it also get random shut down. This is since I upgraded to Gingerbread and flashed Cynogen rom.
Sometimes It even shut itself down after I hang up a call. It really annoying. I have to reinsert the battery to get it switched on again.

Is your phone rooted. Try installing the map directly to the phone instead of copying.

im afraid i have bricked my SG ACE!! icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

i tried to flash firmware KPN via Odin. firmware was downloaded from samfirmware.com

Everything seems goes well initially, finish all the downloading stage, but then after reboot, NO HOME SCREEN!! lockscreen working, but when i slide to unlock, force close massage appeared.. rclxub.gif

so, i guess the first flashed was screwed.. so i shut off the phone, re-enter download mode, then start the flashing process again. but at the end, also same, force closed and cant see home screen.

so, i decided to revert back to our region latest firmware, the KC1. re-enter download mode and reflash.. IT BECOME WORST! at the end of the flashing process, Odin says "wait untill rebooting" but the phone did not reboot, but the screen just turn black!! cry.gif .. tried to removed battery, but the phone just remain black.. when i plug in to PC, Odin still can detect it tho.. what should i do??

please advice me. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

SGA is suitable for light app user. If u r app heavy user pls buy higher storage phone.

I bought App 2 SD Pro. Not all app are move to SD Card also. Some app really cant move to SD Card.

BTW, now my Android version is 2.2.1, is it possible upgrade it to 2.3? How?

Thanks.

Did you follow the method correctly ? Did you take out ur memory card and sim card when flashing ? (but take ur SDcard/SimCard might not be necessary)

You shouldn't tried downgrading and flash from KPH to KC1... ohmy.gif

Try this , (might not work for some ppl)

CODE
If your phone doesn’t boot into download mode and you have a black screen after flashing froyo heres how you unbrick it.

Step 1 – Prepare odin with the firmware u want to flash (in my case was gingerbread 2.3.3) and get it ready to go;

Step 2 – Remove battery, SIM and SD card, next connect your galaxy ace to the computer;

Step 3 – Hold Volume down + Power + Home button at the same time;

Step 4 – Insert the battery and wait a bit;

Step 5 – At this point Odin should have detected your SG Ace ( Yellow rectangle should appear);

Step 6 – Click Start button in Odin and wait about 5 min.

If all goes well it should come back to life.

Roms from samfirmware:

PS. The correct European Froyo firmware is this one:
http://hotfile.com/dl/112095746/7fef9f5/S5830XWKB7.rar.html
or
http://hotfile.com/dl/111959706/1f7adaa/S5830XXKC1.rar.html
Don't forget the cooper.ops file of course:
http://www.multiupload.com/N1TQ49HORW

Password: samfirmware.com

if above method still not working try use USB JIG

*Correct me if I'm wrong , i think the previous thread got a guide to unbrick the phone...* try go xDA , there are some guides at there.. or google around.. :/
