To automatically install apps to SD you have to change the SetInstalLocation tochange the SetInstalLocation to 2 using adb. This post has been edited by CuriOu5: Sep 29 2011, 11:13 PM |

I thought the phone have app2sd in default which will automatically move my apps to sd card? You have to move the apps manually. Some apps can't be moved without the help of third party applications though. Only some can be moved. And even if you move it, it still takes up some space from your internal memory. Oh and, applications that use widgets have to be placed on your internal memory to work This post has been edited by SilenTz_1993: Sep 29 2011, 11:12 PM |

QUOTE(CuriOu5 @ Sep 29 2011, 05:35 PM) How many apps have you got in your phone. I have 87 apps all in all and still have 94MB internal storage free. Now I only gt less than 20mb left. Where can I find data/log?Check your /data/log for log files taking up the storage space. Also check your dalvik cache. Uninstall apps that taking too much space. You need to install root explorer and your phone must be rooted to access /data/log.Added on September 29, 2011, 11:21 pm How do u uninstall updates? I tot everytime u update, it will override the previous version. Updates over write the old version therefore no need to uninstall unless duplication. I was in your dilemma before until i discovered the log files taking up my storage space. I recovered 100+MB from there. |

hard to say if it is the phone, network, or perhaps sim card. I once had a faulty card and everything was difficult. And I stayed at an area where the network was pretty bad. So I didn't immediately diagnosed the right cause and wasted a lot of time. If you really want to solve the problem, visit your telco and sit and chat with them. They will try to help you out to determine which is the root cause.
I believe rooting the SGA does not help with your laggy issues. Perhaps someone else can comment. Rooting gives you more admin capability, which allows you to do more modification or customization. So unless your laggy is due to software... otherwise, try find another person who has SGA and swap to play for a while. You can tell if there is any difference. |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Sep 29 2011, 07:08 PM) put it this way, in my personal experience, i find myself going to task manager more often to switch apps of, and clear things for more ram. With froyo, I dont use task manager so often. Because of my simple use, I am satisfied wtih froyo. It is, just an ACE not S2. So I dont do too much, expect too high. i was actually asking how's the performance when running 1 app at a time(let's say when browsing LYN) compared to froyo, cuz i rarely multitask sorry to trouble again btw Added on September 30, 2011, 3:13 pm QUOTE(ahgan84 @ Sep 29 2011, 11:20 PM) Now I only gt less than 20mb left. Froyo and Gb would be the same in such comparison. I use opera too if you don't like the stock browser. I heard firefox also have a browser for android. check it out. |
