Yeap most importantly keep your receipts and only pay the company by bank draft/cheque. Never ever pay by cash, no matter how small the amount.

this is my first time buying a car too. my dad drilled into me the do and don'ts for a few days...haha

lesen keta pun baru dapat minggu lepas. hehe.

jadi saya nak tanya sikit pasal keta ni,

1.maintenance service macam mane? maksud saya service tuh bajet lingkungan berapa klau sekali service?

2.minyak pulak mcam mane? klau full tank dari k.L bole pegi mane?

3.berbaloi tak?

mungkin ade soklan2 saya ni dah dijawab, tapi saya tak larat nk browse dari V1 tadi, dah smpai page 20, tak larat dah nak baca. hehe
harap2 ade org tolong saya.

SA today told me that the CVT for the City that I have is not as good as Lancer. I asked him twice how does it work for Lancer, but his answer is just that City's CVT is older version, while Lancer is a new better version. I wanna know how does the CVTin Lancer works. What is the different in both CVT that prompt him to say this

1. Tawaran pembeli sekarang ialah 5 tahun warranty dan 5 tahun servis percuma (tiap kali service biasa RM161.40, u jimat ni untuk 5 tahun, lebih kurang 11 kali servis jikalau 5 tahun servis percuma)...

3. Berbaloi kalau kamu nak kereta berkuasa tinggi (engine MIVEC), u suka stail atau design dia, dan tak kisah apa orang lain cakap (beli T dan H la... takde resell value la.., Proton wor...)... dan kamu cukup ongkos...!!!

SnoWFisH: Never use the onboard computer to measure FC, do it manually (L/100km = Liters x 100 / distance or km/L = distance km / Liters) or use Fuelly.com...

Daniel520: Honda CVT have issues actually (lack power, rubberband effect... google it), but their biggest failure is Honda's own farkup... the SC uses normal gear oil instead of CVTF and this kills the CVT GB...!! The effect is the same as us pouring diesel into our tank, your engine will die and need complete overhaul...!!!

Beware, Inspira uses Diaqueen CVTF ONLY..!!!

The City IDSI has loads of gearbox problems, that's why Honda gave up and the new City no more IDSI.

Lancer/Inspira CVT gearbox is from Nissan. Nissan is the forerunner in CVT technology now and has been using CVT for queit sometime in most of their cars (in fact, all Nissan new cars have CVT option now).

So, in terms of CVT, Nissan >>>>> Honda. tongue.gif

No such thing not as good as lancer or whatever.

Although honda city uses a CVT, it is very different compared to the ones in altis, lancer, and slyphy.

the honda city's uses a clutch system where as the larger CVTs for medium sized cars uses a torque converter.

one may argue that the torque converter ones are more reliable, but it comes at a cost, the torque converter has more power loss.

Both are very different CVTs catered for different car sizes.

Our CVT is much larger to cater the larger amount of torque it can handle. it shows in the CVTF requirement. lancer, altis, nissan uses 6 litres compared to the honda city's 3.5 litres of CVTF

Dont worry, both CVTs, under proper hands, will be very reliable. it is the stupid honda SC that made this mess up for themselves when they put ATF in the city's CVT. smile.gif

Proton's CVT is from Punch automative and it uses a clutch system.
