SnoWFisH: Never use the onboard computer to measure FC, do it manually (L/100km = Liters x 100 / distance or km/L = distance km / Liters) or use Fuelly.com...

Daniel520: Honda CVT have issues actually (lack power, rubberband effect... google it), but their biggest failure is Honda's own farkup... the SC uses normal gear oil instead of CVTF and this kills the CVT GB...!! The effect is the same as us pouring diesel into our tank, your engine will die and need complete overhaul...!!!

Beware, Inspira uses Diaqueen CVTF ONLY..!!!

This is total BS and proves the SA tok kok.... if belt grip is the problem, why does changing the WHOLE gearbox help?? Not change the belt or the grip???

Same like changing the engine when all you need to do is change the timing belt (for normal cars)....

And pls show us the academic qualification of your colleague, or tell us he works in Clarion, AND that he actually owns an Inspira.... else he is yet another hear-say expert....

The volume issue is due to the single chip tuner solution, and these digital tuners will reduce volume when they detect static... Even Pioneer's Digital Tuner III (the one I am using in my old junk) does it... but not as drastic as Clarion, which i think had applied noise reduction way too much...

Also, XCInspire have gone to Clarion and changed THREE digital tuner chips... and in one chip, the volume dont drastically decrease, but the static is increased.... in the end, he reverted to the original chip as decreased volume is better than increased static...

So I rather believe an owner that HAVE changed chip and been serviced by Clarion, rather than your "qualified" friend...

They are willing, as XCInspire can be witness to.... its not the DSP issue, its mainly the tuner chip problem.... donno what setting they use... and i still think their noise reduction filter is too high, and this could have been set in the chip, thus the reason they tried diff tuner chips for XCInspire...

You will not have much of this volume issue if you drive in open spaces like arnd PG, you will encounter this in places with lots of high rise and in long highway drives, where there is plenty of signal loss due to deflection and blind spots...

It dims on when you unlock, and brights when you open the door... and dims off when you drive start your car...

It also dims on when you remove your keys, brights when you open the door... and dims off when you lock the door...

But if he is in that field, obviously he knows that single chip tuners does have noise reduction when it detects noise, and for him to say that volume reduction when there is static = BS, almost equates him to telling us that what we are hearing every day and time when we drive our car is all in our head and its not true...

At least your qualified friend have admitted its the chip as the root cause... to which we, and even Clarion, have admitted as much... we have never said this is a Clarion "feature" but have always maintained its is a Clarion HU problem...

So what your qualified friend say in the chip causes the volume reduction..?? Or is he maintaining that the volume reduction is BS..??

Yes, I agree.... the HU shld not have such issue, and thus why XCInspire have gone to Clarion several times to find solution to this.... and yes, this is a chip and Clarion issue...

But then, some owners that have changed to other brands of HU have also similar problems.... maybe need more feedback from other owners who have changed to branded HU instead of those china based dual din lcd ones...

It's not 100% the HU problem, there are antenna wiring, connectors, CAN-BUS system, and the HU itself... its a combo of mismatched components, thus the problem....

NOOOOOOO......!!!!!

Unless you are WANT the audio quality to be way worst than the current HU.... no amount of fancy LCD touchscreen + GPS + DVD can compensate for the lousy audio quality....

Quite a few members have changed to those RM2K Dual Din Touchscreen GPS + DVD HU... that have fancy Mitsu logo when start-up... but mostly regret as the sound quality sucks compared to the Clarion HU....

Also, go to the ICE section and read QQMeng's feedback on the similar unit he recently installed... and he regretted it immediately.... coz u spend arnd RM2K for a lousy audio quality HU.... also, even Flyaudio sound quality is not on par with the current HU...

Think carefully, and think why you wanna change the HU??

I am looking for a GOOD quality rear view miror with built in LCD screen, like this...

Then all I need is to add the reverse cam.... but so far no luck finding good quality ones yet...

Quite a few owners have installed, and their immediate reaction is the sound quality sucks.... so you need to consider your biggest wish from a HU... sound or fancy looks and gadgets...

For me, the SQ have to be good as I will be spending much time listening rather than GPS or watch movie (while driving...??)...

Mirror monitor can be cheap.... arnd RM300 can get, but need good quality ones where reflection must be good as this is a rear view mirror, must use tool when driving....

The ones I see are like heavily tinted and dont reflect images well....

Diff ppl have diff perception towards sound quality, I have listen to those china made ones versus our Clarion HU... and I can tell that there are HUGE differences.... so to each his own preferences...

nzh0920: if you need GPS and DVD more, and you can live with sub par SQ, then these china made ones are relatively bang for buck based on the total features built in...

Kenwood is the only branded manufacturer to include GPS nav unit with Garmin as package in the HU, its rather costly too... and be aware there are no BT features either.... others like Clarion digital medial player have BT but no GPS...

If there is one that have all (GPS, Touchscreen, BT calls and audio streaming, USB, and good SQ)... i would have installed it oredi....

Trust me, if the ipad is mounted nicely on the dash, I would also have done it loooooong time ago...

To my long lost but found again friend, the rims was finalised with a protective layer of top coat to protect the final product.... feel free to cum TT and molest the rims on these cars: mine, Dessimo and XCInspire...

The only precautions you need is not to let the car wash ppl ever use those chemical spray on the rims (those used to remove the brake dust) to preserve the top coat... AND not to bump the rims against any roadcurb lo....

Worth doing if you want to retain the comfort of the 16s, and the relatively lower cost of replacement rubbers...

You could msg Dessimo when you free, can arrange quickie TT so you can see the rims on a black car.... it totally changes the look to more sportier when moving, and tidier when stopped, compared to the very cluttered and bz look of it originally is...

He is rich man, bought folding side mirror lor.....

Then next year he changing to Audi TT...
