Hi, sorry if this had been mentioned before.

For SGS II users of stock rom, some will find that the increasing ring sound will make it to late to hear the full volume of the phone ringing, hence the missed call because of the call was forwarded to voicemail service. For custom rom user, the file "phone.apk" can be replaced by a modded one to disable the increasing ring feature. Suggest the lowest you put 400 . not 200 - this will possibly cause sleep and sometimes erractic performance issues. WOW - you " crazy" overclock to 1.6 Ghz >> I'd think even 1.4 Ghz is very high.

I am not sure why but my sgs2 has problem with papago x5 where it cannot lock on. Google map or Sygic works perfectly for me. I have to on GPS Test or Sygic in the background, then run papago x5 to make it work.

Uninstall and reinstall duno how many times d.

Bro, we are same case. At 1st i use papago x5, the 1st day is ok but when i tried to use on 2nd day, it suddenly show a satellite with a question mark beside it. Then I tested with GPS tester only to know that it detected the satellite but cannot lock it. Damn. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled also useless. Then when I tested with M7, still same issue. WTF.
At 1st I thought was hardware problem but took to Samsung center they said all ok just that the papago not compatible!!

May be have to try Sygic now doh.gif

I use Papago X5 since the 1st day using this phone, not a problem everytime I want to use it, even in SG. Sometimes when it had difficulties to lock on satellites, I use GPS Status to download AGPS data and to find how many satellites were detected/locked. After that, start Papago again, lock time was near instant.

But for the stock rom, what you can do is basically by lengthen your phone ringing time before the call reach voicemail.

Here's how to do it....(found on the net BTW)

On your dialer:

1. Dial *#61# and click Send.
2. Some information should be displayed, number that the calls are being forwarded to and the delay before the call is forwarded.

If you see less than 30 seconds, continue as below...

3. Write down the number including +, tap OK.
4. Dial **61*+###############*11*30# and hit Send. (+############### is the number you wrote down previously, 30 is the delay in seconds. The delay can be set in 5 second increments, 30 is maximum.)
5. Dial *#61# to verify that the new setting is activated.

I've set a ring time of 15 seconds before forwarding to voicemail compared to my previous default setting of only 10 seconds. By doing this, I will have another 5 seconds more time to answer my call before it's diverted.

Hope this helps. Thanks.

well i get my phone 2 days before maxis official launch. regret? nope. unhappy? nope. excited? ya freaking. y? cz i no need to queue like crazy juz to get one out of the 300 "reserved" phones, and no need to have heartattack every month when viewing maxis bill. the only downside i have is only one year warranty, as the dealer's shop NOT YET BECOME a SEP the time we dealing. but still, naked without tied up wif any telco plans is the best to me. plan? juz go for Umobile lah!! 28 per month, 100 min airtime n 30 sms, 500mb mobile data. other telco's data+voice plans? meh doh.gif

since you insist, welcome to sgs2. i'm from Desire, you Legend's big brother.

use it normally first la then since you asked 1st thing to do, obviously you dont know what you want. use it until you know what you want.

like me, everything including apps i use require root, so i need root. hence rooting. if you dont, then dont ask what to do yet. use like a normal average people use. until you really think you need root. or you are bored as hell edy and want to test your balls is made of steel or not. haha talking bout playing with OC.
