Hi, sorry if this had been mentioned before.
For SGS II users of stock rom, some will find that the increasing ring sound will make it to late to hear the full volume of the phone ringing, hence the missed call because of the call was forwarded to voicemail service. For custom rom user, the file "phone.apk" can be replaced by a modded one to disable the increasing ring feature. But for the stock rom, what you can do is basically by lengthen your phone ringing time before the call reach voicemail.
Here's how to do it....(found on the net BTW)
On your dialer:
1. Dial *#61# and click Send.
2. Some information should be displayed, number that the calls are being forwarded to and the delay before the call is forwarded.
If you see less than 30 seconds, continue as below...
3. Write down the number including +, tap OK.
4. Dial **61*+###############*11*30# and hit Send. (+############### is the number you wrote down previously, 30 is the delay in seconds. The delay can be set in 5 second increments, 30 is maximum.)
5. Dial *#61# to verify that the new setting is activated.
I've set a ring time of 15 seconds before forwarding to voicemail compared to my previous default setting of only 10 seconds. By doing this, I will have another 5 seconds more time to answer my call before it's diverted.
Hope this helps. Thanks.
