Im a meireles fan too. But since adam and henderson has arrived, as well as aquilani, I can see kenny more favour of them instead of meireles. If meireles be back-up for them i think it is absurd for him and a waste of his talent. Hopefully we can sell him at the same price as we bought him yr ago.. Sry about what i said

Why do we need players who take GBP 60k~80k a week just to sit on the bench?
Aurelio has lost yards of pace and is not looking as sharp as he once was. If he is not playing regular EPL games, he will only deteriorate....sell him while he still has value....
As for Meireles, we could easily get GBP12~15 million for him. We could sell him and pony up a few quid more to get a top class central defender like Per Metersacker who is currently available.

If its as easy to get the figure, we already fielded bids for him. Seems the market is waiting for some big transfer in Italy to trigger transfers merry go round.

Plz keep in mind tat both Stevie n Aqua are fragile n same goes to Raul.. So we can always shuffle among them.. Nvr seen 60 - 80K player seating on the bench, juz c Man C, 250K wil b seating on the bench... Mayb tats the secret of success, sometime if u juz look at Man U bench they can easily come up to 100 million but tat doesn't mean they need to sell... Its also quality on the bench matters, to come n chg the game last minute n I think Raul is brilliant in doing tat..

for once let us have quality players on the bench too. Manu, chelsea, arsenal (for gunners its was when they were winning things) have the cream not just first 11 but an above average bench players. (even manu constantly had 4 very capable strikers!)

This season preseason games have shown who are ready to be off the blocks blazing & we must not be puffing to play catch up.

once we sorted ourselves back to contention into europe, we should having even better players fancying a move here. our youth squad are shaping well (still in need a steeley maturity before they can bed into the main lfc squad)

Always good to have a reliable no.2. Although keepers seldom suffer from match fatigue and injuries (if any) come mostly from training sessions, quality no 2's are important especially when you consider that all it takes is for one error to lose a match. It's been awhile since we've had a reliable backup. Kirkland, Carson, Warner and Arphexad weren't exactly reliable and consistent. Not since Mike Hooper who played deputy to Bruce Grobbelar have we had a reliable stopper on the bench me thinks. Pity we aren't in the Europa or Doni would have more opportunities to stretch his legs.

So the reason why we have so many players now is we are getting prepared for Champions League football yes?
